We are seeking a Senior Perimeter Security Engineer to support enterprise cybersecurity initiatives involving perimeter security deployments, infrastructure refreshes, migrations, and lifecycle management activities.
The idóneo candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Fortinet, Check Point, IDS/IPS technologies, enterprise DMZ environments, and firewall implementations, along with the ability to execute complex changes with minimal risk to production environments.
Responsibilities
Deploy and support perimeter security solutions across enterprise environments.
Execute firewall implementations, migrations, upgrades, refreshes, and decommission activities.
Perform technical assessments, implementation planning, validation testing, and risk analysis.
Develop implementation plans, rollback procedures, and change documentation.
Execute deployments following engineering standards and operational runbooks.
Collaborate with architecture, engineering, and operations teams.
Maintain technical documentation, network diagrams, and project records.




Support troubleshooting and implementation activities during maintenance windows when required.
Required Qualifications
Strong experience with perimeter security engineering.
Hands-on experience with Fortinet and Check Point firewalls.
Experience with IDS/IPS technologies.
Knowledge of enterprise DMZ architectures and network security best practices.
Experience with deployments, migrations, hardware/software upgrades, and lifecycle management.
Strong understanding of change management, validation testing, and risk mitigation.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
Preferred Qualifications
8+ years of network security or firewall engineering experience.
Experience with FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer, Provider-1, SmartView Manager, and SmartView Tracker.
Experience with TippingPoint IDS/IPS.
Knowledge of routing, switching, and Cisco networking.
