Satellite Communications (SATCOM) Electronics Technician
KBR provides full-spectrum base operations support to Naval Support Facility Diego Garcia, a remote location in the British Indian Ocean Territory. Our robust supply chain ensures on-time delivery of mission-critical supplies, and our team conducts essential port and airfield operations in this geographically complex environment. The KBR team is over 1,000 people strong, providing not only life support services such as water treatment, electricity, and telecom/antenna maintenance, but also quality of life services like Morale, Welfare, and Recreation (MWR) and an award-winning dining facility.
We are seeking a skilled SATCOM Electronics Technician to support the operation and maintenance of satellite communications systems. This role ensures reliable telecommunications by performing corrective and preventive maintenance, system monitoring, and quality control under the guidance of the Lead SATCOM Technician. Operate and monitor SATCOM Earth Terminal Systems during assigned shifts.
Configure, test, align,



and inspect telecommunications systems to meet operational standards.
Conduct performance testing using advanced diagnostic tools.
Support additional duties as required by mission and contract needs.

Effective communication skills and ability to work under pressure.
Valid driver's license and ability to pass overseas medical screening.
Preferred Certifications & Training
IT or electronics certifications are a plus.
Navy SATCOM "C" School or equivalent electronics training.
Associate or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field preferred.
Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience with electronic systems such as AN/GSC-52B, JUNIPER M/20, RT-2200, AN/WSC-3, DAMA, KIV-7M, KWR-4, and fiber optic or comparable systems.
