Job Overview
The Continuous Improvement Coordinator is responsible for providing leadership and establishing the lean manufacturing principles that will drive continuous improvement and operational excellence. This individual will oversee Kaizen events, continuous improvement plans, project proposals, and operational efficiency goals. This role will provide mentoring, training, and coaching for improvement activities to support the goals and objectives of the company. A Day In The Life

Cultivating site culture by developing awareness and expertise of Lean manufacturing concepts and tools at all levels to achieve or exceed safety, quality, cost, and delivery goals.
Training and coaching process owners in the use of Lean and statistical tools, approaches, and techniques to create process management and measurement systems and develop an operational excellence mindset at the department level.
Creating and leading a continuous improvement committee.



Assisting in improvement activities including training, mentoring, facilitating Kaizen events, Six Sigma projects, tool deployment, benchmarking, etc.
Conducting Lean Six Sigma assessments and identifying performance gaps as well as deploying 5S culture. Implementing tools such as: visual factory, value stream mapping, standard work, work instructions, process capability, pareto analysis, SMED, and training best practices.
Delivering cost productivity improvements by managing projects focused on cost reduction, sourcing, and VA/VE.
Providing technical support to operations in the areas of equipment, layout, tools, fixtures and machines to ensure low-cost/high-quality products and develop proposals to incorporate new technology where appropriate.
Recommending the acquisition or disposal of machinery or equipment in accordance with current and projected production requirements as well as coordinating with Engine
