We are looking for an experienced Application Support Engineer to join a long-term technology team supporting business-critical applications in a high-availability environment.

You will combine technical troubleshooting with a reliability-focused approach, working closely with engineering, platform, and infrastructure teams. The role also offers an opportunity to develop toward a senior reliability and operational engineering path.

The position is based in Mexico City (Benito Juarez district) and follows a hybrid model with 3 days per week in the office.

Your tasks

Investigating and resolving production incidents and application issues within agreed service levels
Collaborating with Development, Engineering, Infrastructure, SRE, and DevOps teams to ensure stable and reliable application performance
Monitoring application health, analyzing trends, and identifying opportunities to improve stability, performance, and maintainability
Implementing and enhancing monitoring, alerting, and observability capabilities across applications and supporting services




Performing root-cause analysis and contributing to preventive actions for recurring issues
Maintaining technical documentation and knowledge base articles, and sharing knowledge within the support team

Requirements

At least 5 years of experience in L2 Application Support or a similar technical production support role, with strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, incident management, and root-cause analysis skills
Good technical understanding of Java and Spring Boot applications, with knowledge of Kubernetes and containerized environments
Knowledge of MongoDB and Kafka, including a good understanding of Kafka's role in distributed systems
Previous experience with cloud environments; experience with Azure, AWS, or GCP is highly preferred
Experience with monitoring, alerting, and observability, including hands-on experience with at least one platform such as Elastic, Splunk, Dynatrace, or New Relic
