The Role

This is a fully remote, contractor position where you will own the accounts payable function end to end: vendors, invoices, payments, corporate cards, and employee reimbursements across our US and international entities. This is a hands-on role with real ownership — you'll run the day-to-day with precision while building the policies, controls, and scalable processes that let AP keep pace with a fast-growing general business.

How You'll Contribute

- Own a best-in-class AP function that serves the business, our vendors, and our employees.
- Run vendor onboarding and maintain accurate, compliant vendor records.
- Own the invoice approval workflow, ensuring timely approvals and accurate coding and recording.
- Manage weekly payment runs across entities and payment methods.
- Reconcile vendor statements, investigate discrepancies, and drive variances to resolution.
- Administer Ramp — our platform for invoices, corporate cards, and reimbursements — and maximize the value we get from it.
- Oversee the corporate card program, including issuance, limits, and controls.
- Enforce compliance with our travel and entertainment policy.
- Own annual 1099 preparation and filing, and support vendor tax compliance (W-9/W-8 collection).
- Support month-end close with AP accruals and aging reviews.
- Design policies and build scalable, automated processes — and continuously find ways to make AP faster, more accurate, and more efficient.

What You Need to Succeed
- Mandatory Requirement: Extensive, hands-on experience using Ramp (our AP and spend management platform). Please note: Experience with this specific tool is required for this position.
- 10+ years of accounts payable experience with a track record of increasing responsibility and ownership.
- Expert knowledge of US vendor compliance and reporting (1099, W-9/W-8), with strong knowledge of international requirements.
- Experience managing AP across multiple subsidiaries, including international entities and multi-currency payments.
- Familiarity with NetSuite is a plus.
- Experience in e-commerce or consumer product companies is preferred.

Who You Are
- Detail-obsessed: You process invoices and payments with accuracy and precision — errors bother you.
- Organized: You manage competing priorities, keep multiple workstreams moving, and hit deadlines without being chased.
- A strong communicator: You communicate clearly with vendors and internal teams, verbally and in writing, and know when to push back.
- A builder: You look at a manual process and see an automation opportunity; you don't wait to be told what to fix.
- Adaptable: You thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment where processes are still evolving.

Job Type: Full-time Pay: $40,000.00 - $50,000.00 per month
