Join the team turning ad creative into pipeline revenue for local businesses.

Hey, g'day, mabuhay, kia ora, hola, hallo, vítejte!

Thanks for stopping by. We know job hunting can be a little time consuming and you're probably keen to find out what's on offer, so we'll get straight to the point.

We're Goat Media. We film creative ads, script them strategically, run paid campaigns, and drive qualified leads into our clients' pipelines. If it doesn't drive revenue, it doesn't get done. That's not a tagline, that's the operating system.

We need a creative strategist to be the engine behind our ad creative and client fulfillment. That's where you come in.

Responsibilities

Content Strategy & Scripting

Develop the content strategy for each client based on their business, their audience, their pain points, and their goals. Write scripts for face-to-camera videos, short-form content, and any other format we deploy. Every script has a purpose, a hook, a message, and a reason it exists on the platform it's going to.

Platform Distribution Thinking

You understand that YouTube is not Instagram is not TikTok. You know what works on each platform, what format each one rewards, what posting cadence makes sense, and why posting the same video everywhere without adaptation is lazy and ineffective. You think about distribution before you write a single word.

Creative Angle Development

Generate new messaging angles based on client business data, customer insights, competitor research, and platform trends. Build and maintain swipe files using tools like Meta Ad Library, Google Ad Library, and competitor research tools. You're always hunting for the next angle that could crack open a client's growth.

Creative Briefs

Own the briefing process end-to-end. Write clear, specific briefs for videographers, editors, and any other production resources. A brief that leaves room for interpretation is a brief that produces the wrong content. You eliminate ambiguity.

Performance Analysis

Work closely with our media buyers to understand what's performing and what's not. Look at ad performance data, engagement metrics, and platform analytics to inform your next round of creative. You don't guess, you read the data and adjust. You understand creative testing methodologies and you know that only a small percentage of creatives will actually scale.

Client Content Calendars

Build and maintain content calendars for each client.

Plan content weeks ahead, not day-of. Ensure every piece of content has a strategic reason for existing and maps to a business outcome the client cares about.

Market & Competitor Research

Stay current on platform algorithm changes, content trends, and what competitors in each client's space are doing. Use that intelligence to keep our clients ahead, not reacting.

The type of creative

We don't want boring contractor ads that sound like every other company. We want ads that make people stop scrolling and actually want to watch.

Think interesting hooks, storytelling, UGC-style videos, before and afters, customer mistakes, educational content, "things nobody tells you" angles, cost breakdowns, contractor tips, humor, curiosity-driven ideas, and problem/solution content.

You should know what makes content go viral and why people stop scrolling. You understand the psychology behind why someone watches a video to the end versus swiping past it in two seconds. You study consumer behavior, buyer behavior, and human psychology because you know that great advertising is applied psychology, not guesswork.

Qualifications

English C1 or higher. All scripts, briefs, and client-facing communication will be in English. You need to write at a level that reads naturally, not like a translated second language.

5+ years experience in this role or a similar creative strategy, copywriting, or advertising role. You've been in the trenches. You know what a good ad looks like because you've written hundreds of them and watched the data come back.

Deep understanding of copywriting, advertising, and consumer psychology. You know why people click, watch, engage, and buy. You understand buyer behavior and human psychology because you've studied it, not because you read one book on it. You know what makes content go viral and you can explain the mechanism behind it, not just point to a trend.

Strong social media understanding. You know why certain content formats perform on certain platforms,

how algorithms reward different behaviors, and how to adapt a single piece of content across multiple platforms without just copy-pasting.

Knows the big advertisers and the greats. You follow the people who are actually moving the needle in advertising. You study their work, you understand why it works, and you're not stuck in 2015 direct response thinking.

Hungry and wants to learn about advertising. You're not here to clock in, do your hours, and disappear. You're genuinely obsessed with getting better at this craft. You're the type who watches ad breakdowns for fun and gets excited about a new angle that cracks open a campaign.

Winner mindset. You take feedback well and you're always looking to improve. You're not precious about your creative. You don't write generic or corporate-sounding copy. You're comfortable coming up with ideas without being told exactly what to do. You're a creative thinker who's passionate about marketing.

Team player. You work well alongside media buyers, editors, and videographers. You communicate clearly, you take ownership, and you don't throw your work over a wall and hope for the best.

Creative testing mindset. You understand that most creatives won't scale, and you're comfortable with that. You know how to test systematically, read results, and iterate without emotional attachment to your work.

Can research and understand new industries quickly. Every client is in a different space. You need to be able to drop into a new industry, understand the customer, the pain points, the language, and the competitive landscape fast, then write ads that sound like you've been in that industry for years.

About The Company

We're Goat Media, a paid advertising company built on one principle: revenue-driven actions. If something isn't bringing revenue, there's zero point in doing it.

We film creative ads for local businesses ( nationwide ), script them strategically, and run paid campaigns that drive qualified leads into our clients' pipelines. We're not a social media management agency that posts content and hopes for engagement. We're a performance company that ties every ad, every script, and every dollar of spend to revenue coming back through the door.
