? POSITION OVERVIEW

We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Entry-Level Underwwriter to review merchant applications, evaluate financial and business information, and assess potential risks in accordance with company policies and underwriting guidelines.

We are looking for someone who is reliable, thorough, and able to make objective decisions based on established guidelines. The successful candidate will demonstrate sound judgment, professional integrity, and a strong commitment to quality and accuracy.

? KEY RESPONSABILITIES

- Review merchant and customer applications for completeness and accuracy.
- Verify financial, business, ownership, and identity documentation.
- Analyze credit reports, bank statements, and other supporting financial information.
- Evaluate applications according to company underwriting guidelines and risk policies.
- Identify inconsistencies, potential fraud indicators, and other risk factors.
- Escalate suspicious or high-risk applications when necessary.




- Request additional information or documentation to complete the underwriting review.
- Communicate with sales teams, brokers, and internal departments regarding application requirements and status.
- Maintain complete and accurate records of underwriting decisions and supporting documentation.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and applicable industry standards.
- Meet established productivity, quality, and turnaround-time expectations.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development activities.

? REQUIRED SKILLS, ABILITIES, KNOWLEDGE

- Associate’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
- Professional proficiency in English is required.
- Previous experience in underwriting, risk analysis, financial services, banking, merchant services, or a related field is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent task prioritization skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with internal teams.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
