About Us Volante Technologies is the leading global provider of low-code cloud Payments as a Service solution for financial businesses. For the last three years, we have been the #1 seller of wholesale payment systems worldwide. We are seeking an experienced Finance Operations & Accounting Manager to run core finance processes for our Mexico and Colombia.
Our outsourced accounting and tax providers prepare monthly entries and statutory/tax deliverables; this role drives the local execution and communication needed to keep those processes running smoothly—liaising in Spanish with external providers, coordinating deliverables, performing review/sign-off, and escalating issues to General Accounting leadership. In addition to accounting oversight, you will lead key finance operations including AR/AP workflows and controls, banking portal processes, cash visibility, and cross-functional commercial processes that impact billing and revenue.
Support Global
Accounting in managing the month-end close calendar for Mexico and Colombia by serving as the local-language point of contact with the outsourced firm
- Manage the relationship and performance of the outsourced local accounting firm and tax advisors, including service levels, deliverable checklists, issue logs, and recurring quality improvements Review and challenge key monthly accounting entries and reconciliations prepared by the outsourced firm
- Oversee accounts receivable operations (billing handoffs, collections cadence, dispute resolution, and AR aging reporting); partner with Sales/Client teams to accelerate cash collection Oversee accounts payable operations and payment controls, including payment scheduling and approvals through Colombian and Mexican banking portals,
ensuring adherence to internal policies and documentation standards Own near-term cash visibility and reporting by partnering with the outsourced firm and internal teams on expected receipts, large disbursements, and collection timing Partner with the ERP/System Administrator and external providers on NetSuite localization needs (e-invoicing, tax reporting, statutory requirements) by defining requirements, validating configurations, and coordinating testing/UAT Reporting & Compliance Review balance sheet reconciliations and close support prepared by the outsourced firm; validate monthly expense and variance analyses and investigate unusual fluctuations Oversee statutory reporting for Mexico and Colombia (prepared by the outsourced firm), including review of local financial statements and ensuring alignment to local GAAP requirements Coordinate local statutory audits and support US GAAP audit requirements by managing timelines, PBC requests, and responses in partnership with the outsourced firm Review and approve monthly tax filings for Mexico and Colombia (prepared by external advisors)
- Partner with Legal and external providers on entity governance and regulatory workflows (e.g., Board minutes support, contract approval workflows, DIAN/SAT filings),
ensuring Finance inputs and controls evidence are accurate and timely Partner with Sales Operations and FP&A; as the regional finance operations point of contact for deal-to-cash processes; support deal reviews that impact billing and revenue recognition and drive process readiness Support client meetings and commercial discussions as needed to resolve billing, collections, or process-related topics Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field ~7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including multi-entity or multinational environments ~ Demonstrated experience leading an end-to-end close process and managing relationships with outsourced accounting and/or tax providers ~ Strong knowledge of Mexican and Colombian accounting standards (NIF, Colombian GAAP) and practical ability to reconcile local GAAP and US GAAP requirements ~ Hands-on experience with NetSuite or comparable ERP systems ~ Experience with statutory audits and tax compliance in Mexico and/or Colombia ~ Working knowledge of intercompany accounting and transfer pricing concepts (calculations, documentation support, and controls) ~ Advanced Excel skills
- Bilingual: Fluent in Spanish and English (written and verbal) Familiarity with US GAAP and SOX compliance requirements Experience with Salesforce (SFDC) and/or contract tracking tools used to support revenue processes Prior experience in financial services, technology, or professional services industries Knowledge of electronic invoicing (CFDI in Mexico, facturación electrónica in Colombia) Effective communicator able to work with local teams, corporate headquarters, and external partners Ability to work independently while collaborating cross-functionally and across a general organization We are committed to creating a performance driven workplace where everyone feels valued, respected, and empowered to bring their authentic self to work.
