Job Type: Contract to Hire (6-month initial engagement)

Location: Remote — Mexico

Working Hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM EST, flexible to CST

Experience Level: 5+ years

Compensation: MX$58,000 – 75,000/month, commensurate with depth of experience (open to a higher range for the right skillset — technical fit matters more than budget)

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Guidewire Developer with strong hands-on experience across both PolicyCenter and ClaimCenter — this is a dual-module requirement, not a nice-to-have. The role is roughly 80% configuration work: designing, developing, configuring, integrating, and supporting Guidewire solutions for insurance applications. Candidates must be able to commit upfront to the full 6-month engagement.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and configure Guidewire PolicyCenter and ClaimCenter applications.
- Work on Guidewire configuration, customization, workflows, rules, UI, and integrations.
- Develop solutions using Gosu and Guidewire application frameworks.
- Configure policy, product, underwriting, claims, billing, and related insurance processes.
- Develop and maintain integrations with external systems using REST/SOAP APIs.
- Analyze business requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions.
- Participate in design, development, code reviews, testing, debugging, and production support.




- Troubleshoot application and integration issues and provide timely resolutions.
- Work with QA, business analysts, architects, and other development teams.
- Follow coding standards, security practices, and Guidewire development best practices.
- Support Guidewire upgrades, deployments, and production releases where required.

Required Skills (Must-Haves)

- 4+ years of experience in Guidewire development.
- Strong, hands-on experience with both PolicyCenter AND ClaimCenter (single-module profiles will not be considered).
- Strong knowledge of Gosu programming.
- Experience with Guidewire configuration and customization.
- Experience with Guidewire integrations and APIs.
- Strong understanding of insurance domain concepts, particularly policy and claims processes.
- Experience with REST/SOAP, XML, JSON, and integration frameworks.
- Good knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
- Experience with Git and CI/CD processes.
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
- Available and committed to a 6-month engagement from day one.

Not a Fit

General Java developers with insurance-industry exposure but no direct Guidewire/Gosu configuration experience do not qualify for this role — this is a hard requirement from the client.

Preferred Skills

- Guidewire certification (a plus, not required).
- Experience with Guidewire Cloud or Guidewire Cloud Platform.
- Experience with Guidewire version upgrades/migrations.
- Knowledge of BillingCenter.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.

Ideal Candidate The adecuado candidate is a hands-on Guidewire developer who can independently work across PolicyCenter and ClaimCenter configuration, Gosu development, integrations, troubleshooting, and production support, while collaborating effectively with technical and business teams. Occasional travel to Boston, MA may be offered but is never required.
