Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic legal counsel on labor and employment matters, ensuring compliance and mitigating business risks.
- Monitor regulatory developments and advise leadership on legal and policy implications.
- Design and deliver labor law and compliance training programs.
- Manage interactions with labor and social security authorities, including audits, claims, and regulatory proceedings.
- Develop labor relations strategies, oversee litigation matters, and coordinate external legal counsel.
- Draft, review, and negotiate employment agreements and employee-related documentation.
- Support union relations, collective bargaining negotiations, and collective agreement administration.
- Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts, including services, logistics, construction, procurement, and REPSE-related agreements.
- Advise stakeholders on contract risk management, compliance requirements, and business transactions.
- Lead internal training initiatives on contractual processes and labor compliance.
- Support internal investigations and collaborate with compliance teams as needed.
- Maintain oversight of labor cases and provide updates to management.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Law.
- 7+ years of experience in Labor & Employment Law within multinational or corporate environments.
- Advanced English proficiency.
- Strong experience managing union relationships and collective bargaining negotiations.
- Solid knowledge of Mexican labor and social security regulations.
- Experience negotiating commercial and operational agreements, including indirect procurement, logistics, REPSE, and construction contracts.
- Strong ability to balance business objectives with legal risk management.
- High ethical standards, integrity, and commitment to compliance.
