This is a fully remote, flexible contract role open to anyone with a sharp eye for detail and familiarity with their local area. No GIS, cartography, or technical geography experience required.
- Verify AI-generated addresses, place names, and geographic data for accuracy
- Evaluate the quality of location-based search results and recommendations
- Flag incorrect, missing, or outdated location information
- Apply your regional knowledge to provide local context and corrections
- Complete structured, task-based assignments using maps and web-based tools
- Work independently and asynchronously on your own schedule
Who You Are
- Familiar with your local area — streets, landmarks, businesses, and neighborhoods
- Detail-oriented with the ability to consistently spot errors and inconsistencies
- Comfortable using digital maps and browser-based tools
- Clear and concise written communicator
- Self-motivated and reliable when working independently
- No GIS, geography, or AI experience required
Nice to Have
- Experience with mapping platforms such as Google Maps, Apple Maps, or OpenStreetMap
- Background in data entry, research, or quality assurance
- Familiarity with urban planning, logistics, or local government information
