ROLE SUMMARYThis position is responsible for operating, maintaining and repairing electrical equipment andsystems, organizing and supervising the electrical personnel onboard and assisting the RigMaintenance Supervisor (RMS) with the daily duties where applicable.JOB SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES• All relevant governing documents are adhered to by direct reports.
• All relevant governing documents are revised as and when required.
• Those clear daily guidelines are provided for all direct reports.
• Visible leadership by spending time in the field and monitoring daily operations.
• Required logbooks are maintained and updated as per requirements.
• Thorough handovers are provided at each daily change of shift.
• Subordinates are trained to fill higher positions.
• Ensure that the permit to work and energy isolation procedures are strictly adhered toalways.
• Ensure that entries on permits, isolation tags and logs reflect status.
• Operate, maintain, and repair power generation and distribution equipment.
• Read and interpret electrical drawings,



schematics and diagrams as required Gatherdata from instruments and interpret performance to understand trends and ensureproblems are solved.
• Communicate equipment problems or breakdown information with OIM and onshorestaff.
• Perform and interpret power calculations, insulation and relay tests as required Ensureall electrical equipment brought onto the rig, including Third Party equipment, iscertified and meets regulatory requirements.
• Conduct performance appraisals for subordinates.
Recommend promotion,development, or disciplinary action.
• All software licenses, back-ups and upgrades are maintained.
• Any other matters as deemed necessary by Company Management.QUALIFICATIONS• Preferably a bachelor's degree: Hight school Degree or any equivalent, or Electrical• Engineering or Electronic Technology.
• Years of experience: at least 3 years of experience on offshore drilling rigs, preferably 2 years of experience in the position.SKILLS / ABILITIES • Computer skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Able to work independently and as a team player.
• Fluent English.
