The Gund Company: Take Care of Each Other, Take Care of the Customer and Take Care of the BusinessJob SummaryPerform general, non-specialized tasks in the maintenance of production equipment and building infrastructure or grounds to ensure safety of all employees and minimized unplanned production downtime.
Duties include but are not limited to: electrical maintenance, pipefitting and plumbing tasks, woodwork and fixtures, light bulbs, covers, and filter replacement, scrap, putty and paint walls, simple machine and equipment troubleshooting.
Utilizes a wide variety of hand and portable power tools.
Summary of Essential Job Functions:Complete maintenance work orders as assigned:Installs, repairs and maintains high voltage systems: motors, transformers, generators, lights, appliances, circuits, wiring and other electrical system equipment Perform a variety of maintenance repair (building infrastructure, mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic) and preventative repair on manual and CNC equipment with limited direction and guidanceTroubleshoot and resolve mechanical/electrical/electronic, pneumatic and plumbing breakdowns in a timely mannerFollow designated work instructions as outlined for specific functions.
These include, but are not limited to: PM work orders, continuous improvement tasks, new installation line-ups,



and repair/refurbish assignmentsPerform facility systems inspections as assigned Utilize diagnostic tools and techniques to detect problem areas and assist with resolutionUtilize industry standards while performing machine installation, repairs and re-assemblyUpdate spare parts and suitable replacements, as neededComplete demand maintenance work order paperwork Participate in cross training to become knowledgeable of equipment/process within the departmentMaintain a clean and organized work areaMaintain company issued toolsFollow standard practices and all state and government regulations and laws relating work safetyProvide guidance, feedback and positive behavior modeling The Gund Company culture of care:Determine if tools are undamaged and in safe condition for use Make suggestions to improve production and order processing efficiencyActively engaged with training and mentoring other team membersFollow safety rules and quality standardsWork with contracted repair personnel as neededModel ethical and moral behavior consistent with the values and ideals supported by The Gund CompanyRequirementsQualifications and Competencies:Perform work independently Communicate with supervisor on work order priority, issues and progressOpen to change due to emergency orders or fabrication of partsVery good math skillsAbility to understand schematics Ability to troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical/electronic, pneumatic,



and plumbing breakdownsExcellent problem solving skillsAbility to follow written and verbal instructionsMust be able to work overtime as neededEducation and Experience:TSU or Associate Degree in Industrial Maintenance with prior hands on, vocational or job-related course work/training.
Prior experience in a manufacturing industry is preferred.English desirable.Physical RequirementsWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear.
