About the roleAs a Financial Analyst at Sporty, you will be an integral part of an expanding Finance team in a new market.
You will collaborate closely and operationally with multiple internal and external stakeholders.
What you'll be doingSupport in managing accounts payable and receivable, with a focus on digital payment methods (payment providers, SPEI)Perform daily, detailed reconciliations of high volumes of data.
Identify and resolve all differences promptly through engaging with Payment Service Providers, Operations, and Fraud teamsProcess invoices, ensuring on-time approval and payment.
Resolve any queries with vendors to ensure a smooth and efficient procure-to-pay cycleSupport daily cash flow management and bank account reconciliationsPerform key financial controls, constantly reviewing and refining these to ensure they operate at optimal levelsRecord and control accounts payable and receivableProvide ongoing and ad hoc financial analysis and reporting to support data-based decision-makingPrepare financial reports and support operational performance analysisWork alongside compliance and product teams to ensure the security of financial operationsEnsure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirementsMaintain strong working relationships with local banks, auditors, tax authorities, and regulatory bodiesRepresent the company in communications with government agencies and industry associations, when requestedWhat you'll bringA self-starter who works hard, makes decisions quickly,
and operates with urgencyType A personality who thrives in a fast-paced environmentThe individual prefers a flat organizational structure to engage with all levels of employees and collaborate with various company functionsTo be successful in this role, you'll need at least 5 years of experience as an Accountant, Treasury, or Finance professional, with at least 1 of those years being in the betting or fintech industriesBachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Accounting, or related fieldsA relevant accounting qualification is required.
You should have a working knowledge of accounting and bookkeeping procedures and be proficient in using accounting softwareStrong organizational skills, attention to detail, and practical communication abilities are also criticalAt least two years of proven experience in Treasury or FinanceKnowledge of banking systems and corporate financeProficiency in Microsoft Office, especially ExcelAnalytical, detail-oriented profile with strong logical reasoningInterest in working in the sports betting or fintech sectorAdvanced/Fluent EnglishExperience with high-volume reconciliations (microtransactions)Even better ifIntermediate PortugueseExperience and familiarity in the gaming, betting market, or online entertainment, betting, fintech, or e-commerce sectorsWhat's in it for youWe have an office in a prime location within Mexico City!
