Playwright Automation Engineer – TypeScript & API

Role Description This is a full-time hybrid role for a Playwright Automation Engineer with TypeScript, based in Gustavo A. Madero, CMX, with flexibility to work from home part of the time.

The Playwright Automation

Engineer will design, develop, and maintain automated test suites using Playwright and TypeScript for web-based applications, ensuring quality and reliability of critical features. Day-to-day tasks include creating robust test frameworks, writing and optimizing test scripts, integrating tests into CI/CD pipelines, and collaborating closely with developers, QA professionals, and product teams to identify and resolve defects. The role also involves analyzing test results, improving test coverage and performance, and contributing to best practices for automation, documentation, and code reviews. The engineer will work in a collaborative environment that encourages continuous improvement, knowledge sharing, and proactive problem-solving.

Qualifications

- Strong expertise in Playwright-based test automation,



including designing and maintaining reliable test suites.
- Proficient TypeScript skills for building, refactoring, and optimizing test frameworks and automation code.
- Experience with modern web technologies, RESTful APIs, and cross-browser, cross-platform testing.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI) and test reporting frameworks.
- Solid understanding of software testing principles, including functional, regression, end-to-end, and performance testing.
- Ability to collaborate effectively in hybrid work settings, communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders, and document test plans and results.
- Familiarity with agile methodologies (Scrum or Kanban) and working in iterative development environments.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience in test automation.
- Experience in HR technology, SaaS products, or data-driven platforms is a plus.
