About The Role As an Internal Auditor, you will be responsible for performing key activities related to internal and external quality system audits. Follow-up on corrective and preventive actions to ensure implementation and closure of Audit findings. Assist the Lead Auditor in the execution of internal audits to assess the level of compliance of the quality management system. Drive best practices throughout Harman Queretaro facility and promote compliance to international quality standards. Validate the implementation of applicable Customer-Specific Requirements. The key responsibility of this position is to execute Internal Audit and Document Control related activities, in addition to assessing compliance to the latest customer and regulatory requirements.
The job holder is expected to provide training to employees to enable continual improvement and understanding of internal and external processes, requirements and standards.
Supervisory Responsibilities
- As a part of the supervisory responsibilities, if there is not an employee to attend the process, the direct boss will have to attend the process or assign the activities to another employee (with equal qualifications).
What You Will Do
- Support the Lead Auditor in the planning and execution of internal system audits to assess compliance to standards such as ISO9001, IATF16949, VDA, customer-specific requirements and Harman internal requirements on all business levels at the Queretaro Harman Automotive locations.
- Supports planning and preparation activities for external certification audits to ISO9001/IATF16949.
- Member of the Audit team works in the execution of internal audit schedule as directed by Manager Internal Audit and Document Control and assure adherence to audit plans.
- Communicates audit results effectively through the preparation of clear, concise and robust audit reports.
- Facilitate communication of audit results to auditee and key management staff as necessary.
- Effectively manage audit results and findings (measurement of effectiveness, follow-up measures).
- Collaborates with the Lead Auditor to measure and monitor performance indicators of the audit process, performs data analysis and determines any needs or opportunities towards continual improvement of the quality management system.
- Validates containment and systemic corrective actions are effectively implemented for all non-conformances issued as a result of internal and external system and process audits.
- Perform conformity tests to assess compliance to global BMS process documentation.
- Manage LPA (Layer Process Audits) execution, prepare audit plan, coordinate execution with responsible parties and follow-up of audit findings/results.
- Supports the analysis of potential weaknesses and risks of defined processes.
- Supports training activities regarding quality management and document management systems.
- Promotes the integration into applicable global policies and processes throughout the organization.
- Validate documentation in the manufacturing areas through Document Control audits.
- Assist process owners and employees in the creation of new and revision of existing BMS documentation enabling conformance to IATF, customer and Harman requirements.
- Supports continuous improvement activities for defined processes.
- Strive to reduce local quality management documentation by guiding staff to work with global process owners to resolve process concerns or gaps.
What You Need To Be Successful

- Bachelor’s degree (BA or Engineering)
- 1 years of prior experience in automotive industry
- 1 years working in the Quality System area
- 1 year of prior experience in auditing
- IATF 16949 Auditor training
- VDA 6.3 Process Auditor training
- ISO19011 training
- ISO 9001 training
- Core Tools (PPAP, FMEA, APQP, CP, MSA and SPC) training
- Knowledge of Quality Systems (IATF16949 and VDA)
- Knowledge of applicable Customer-Specific Requirements (FCA, GM, Ford, BMW, TOYOTA, Hyundai, KIA, among others)
- Strong Problem solving/ root cause analysis skills
- Process approach knowledge
- Risk-based thinking knowledge
- Skilled in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Visio and PowerPoint
- Interpersonal skills
- Bilingual Communication Skills (Oral and Written) English 70%

What Makes You Eligible
- Be willing to travel up to 10%, domestic and international travel
- Be willing to work in an office and manufacturing facility, in Queretaro
- Successfully complete a background investigation and drug screen as a condition of employment (post-offer).
- The employee must have compliance with the IATF16949 standard, the specific requirements of clients, the Quality Management System (BMS and QMS Apps) and the Environmental Management System according with ISO 14001 standard.
- As a part of the supervisory responsibilities, if there is not an employee to attend the process, the direct boss will have to attend the process or assign the activities to another employee (with equal qualifications).
- The employee has the authority granted by the company through this document to make decisions for the benefit of the company and to ensure the conformity of the product, its quality, functionality, and safety of the person who intervenes in the process.
