At Morgan Philips Specialist Recruitment Mexico, we are looking for a Head of Global Business Services (GBS) / Shared Services Center (SSC) for a multinational organization with operations in Mexico and international scope.

General Function
The Head of GBS / Shared Services Center will be responsible for leading the strategy, operations, and continued evolution of the center, ensuring operational excellence, service quality, and the development of capabilities that support the organization's growth.
This position will have significant interaction with regional and global stakeholders, leading multifunctional teams and actively participating in transformation, standardization, automation, process migration, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
GBS / Shared Services Leadership
Lead the strategy and overall operation of the Global Business Services / Shared Services Center.
Manage multifunctional teams and leadership structures across the center.
Ensure achievement of KPIs, SLAs, and global service standards.
Manage relationships with regional and global stakeholders.
Develop high-performing teams and strengthen leadership capabilities across the organization.
Identify opportunities to expand the scope and capabilities of the GBS/SSC.
Participate in defining the center's growth and evolution strategy.
Operations & Service Delivery
Ensure operational excellence across services delivered from Mexico.
Oversee the performance of the different functional towers and services.
Drive governance models, performance indicators, and service-level improvements.
Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, productivity, and cost optimization.
Ensure effective integration across functions and geographies supported by the center.
Transformation & Continuous Improvement
Lead transformation and continuous improvement initiatives.
Participate in process migration and transition projects into Mexico.
Drive process standardization and optimization.




Promote automation and digital transformation initiatives.
Support the evolution of traditional Shared Services models into higher-value GBS organizations.
Identify opportunities to incorporate new processes, functions, and capabilities into the center.
People & Stakeholder Management
Lead and develop multicultural and multifunctional teams.
Manage relationships with regional and global senior leaders.
Develop strategies to attract, develop, and retain key talent.
Build a culture focused on performance, collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
Act as a strategic partner to the different business areas supported by the GBS organization.
Education
Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Engineering, Economics, Business, or a related field.
MBA or postgraduate studies will be considered an advantage.
Experience
10+ years of professional experience.
Previous experience within a Shared Services Center (SSC), Global Business Services (GBS), or Global Capability Center (GCC) is mandatory.
Proven experience leading operations, teams, or functions within Shared Services environments.
Experience managing multidisciplinary and multicultural teams.
Strong exposure to regional and/or global stakeholders.
Experience in transformation, standardization, and continuous improvement.
Experience participating in a GBS/SSC set-up, expansion, or transformation is highly desirable.
Experience in process migrations and transitions into Mexico will be considered a strong advantage.
Experience working within multinational organizations and complex corporate environments.
