We are looking for a Senior Application Design Engineer to support OEMs, system integrators, and specialized partners in designing and implementing advanced industrial automation solutions. This role combines technical expertise, customer engagement, and solution architecture to drive the adoption of Schneider Electric's EcoStruxure Machine portfolio, including PLCs, HMI, Motion Control, Servo Drives, Robotics, and Industrial Networks.

You will work closely with customers from the specification stage through proof of concept, architecture design, and solution demonstration, ensuring the successful deployment of innovative machine automation technologies.

What will you do?

- Partner with OEMs, system integrators, and specialized customers to define technical specifications and automation architectures for machine applications.
- Design and validate automation solutions leveraging EcoStruxure Machine, PLCs, HMIs, Servo Drives, Motion Control systems, Industrial Ethernet networks, and Robotics.
- Develop proof-of-concepts, demo machines, and technical demonstrations to showcase product capabilities and application performance.
- Provide pre-sales technical consulting and application support throughout the customer decision-making process.
- Create machine control architectures, including synchronization of axes, motion control applications, and industrial communication protocols such as Ethernet/IP and Modbus.
- Support customers in selecting and implementing automation hardware and software solutions aligned with their operational requirements.
- Collaborate with local and integral application engineering teams to resolve complex technical challenges and share best practices.
- Deliver technical training and knowledge transfer sessions to customers, OEMs, partners, and internal stakeholders.
- Support the growth of Schneider Electric's machine automation business through technical expertise and customer advocacy.

What qualifications will make you successful?
- Bachelor's degree in Automation Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Control Engineering, Robotics, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in industrial automation, machine control, or application engineering.
- Strong expertise in PLCs, HMIs, Motion Control systems, and Servo Drives.
- Experience supporting OEMs, machine builders, or system integrators.
- Knowledge of EcoStruxure Machine solutions is highly desirable.
- Experience designing machine architectures and developing proof-of-concept applications.
- Understanding of industrial robotics and collaborative robot applications is a plus.
- Intermediate to advanced English proficiency with the ability to collaborate with global technical teams.
- Strong communication skills and ability to explain complex technical concepts to customers and stakeholders.
