Role Overview
Our client is looking for a front-end-leaning Founding Software Engineer with demonstrated experience building full-stack web applications to build and scale complex data-capturing workflows. As one of the first hires in LATAM, this position carries significant responsibility in shaping technical direction and laying the groundwork for future team growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and scale complex data capturing workflows across web (Next.js) and desktop (Python) platforms.
- Architect and optimize high-throughput data pipelines built to handle heavy operational loads.
- Collaborate with the founding team to define product strategy and rapidly ship new features.
- Set engineering best practices and establish the groundwork for future engineering team growth.
- Build, maintain,
and scale serverless architectures across cloud environments.
- Integrate and manage high-performance data infrastructure, including Redis, Elasticsearch, and message queues.
Qualifications
- 4+ years of experience as a full-stack engineer, with a strong focus on Python and JavaScript/TypeScript.
- Proven track record of experience working at a reputable, fast-growing startup.
- Hands-on experience building, scaling, and optimizing complex data capturing workflows and high-throughput data pipelines.
- Technical proficiency with JavaScript/TypeScript, Next.js, React, Node.js, and Python.
- Practical experience with cloud platforms (AWS or GCP) and serverless architecture.
- Strong experience working with Redis, Elasticsearch, Kubernetes, and message queues such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
- Strong self-management skills with the ability to operate effectively in an early-stage environment.
