Role Description The Social Compliance Auditor is a full-time, on-site role based in Mexico, responsible for assessing factories and supply chain partners for compliance with social, labor, health and safety, and ethical standards. In this role, the auditor conducts scheduled and ad hoc audits, including document reviews, facility inspections, and worker and management interviews, following established protocols and client requirements.

The position involves preparing clear, accurate audit reports, documenting findings, and recommending corrective actions that align with international standards and local regulations. The auditor collaborates with internal teams and clients to clarify requirements, support corrective action plans, and monitor progress on remediation activities.



Day-to-day responsibilities also include staying current with social compliance regulations and industry best practices, traveling to client sites within Mexico and potentially internationally, and maintaining impartiality and professionalism throughout all audit engagements.

Qualifications

- Strong knowledge of social compliance standards, including labor rights, human rights, health and safety, and ethical sourcing, ideally based on international norms and local Mexican regulations.
- Experience conducting audits, inspections, or assessments in manufacturing or supply chain environments, with the ability to plan site visits, review documentation, and perform worker and management interviews.
- Excellent analytical and reporting skills, including the ability to synthesize findings, identify non-conformities, and prepare clear, structured audit reports in English and Spanish.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with diverse stakeholders, manage sensitive conversations, and maintain neutrality and confidentiality.
- Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple audits, deadlines, and travel schedules in a fast-paced environment.
- Working proficiency in English and Spanish (written and spoken); additional languages used in regional supply chains are an advantage.
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Business, Law, Environmental Studies, Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field; relevant certifications in social compliance or auditing are preferred.
