We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Staff Accountant to support day-to-day accounting operations for a growing organization. This position is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing journal entries and reconciliations, assisting with month-end and year-end close, and supporting accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.

The idóneo candidate has a strong understanding of accounting principles, excellent organizational and analytical skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare and post journal entries for various financial transactions
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes
- Prepare and support monthly financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
- Perform account reconciliations, including bank, accounts receivable, and accounts payable reconciliations
- Process accounts payable invoices and ensure appropriate coding, documentation, and authorization
- Assist with accounts receivable functions, including invoicing, collections, and account management
- Coordinate with internal teams regarding invoices, reimbursements, and other accounting-related documentation
- Research and resolve accounting discrepancies in a timely manner
- Maintain accurate and organized accounting records
- Assist with audits and financial reporting as needed
- Complete special projects and ad hoc financial analysis as requested by leadership
- Maintain compliance with company policies, procedures, and applicable accounting standards
- Perform other accounting and administrative duties as assigned

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field preferred
- Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience preferred
- Experience in senior living, healthcare, hospitality, property management, construction,



or a related industry is a plus
- Working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Experience with accounting software such as Yardi, QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle, or similar platforms preferred
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities and meet deadlines
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism when handling financial information
