We are currently seeking anAccounting Specialistto join ourGlobal Financeteam.
In this role, you will support Mercy For Animals' accounting and finance operations via general ledger and month-end close accounting support, accounts payable, payments, and accounts receivable functions to empower the organization to generate accurate financials.You willdo invaluable work :Primary Responsibilities and Duties:Manage and process accounts payable (including working with predominantly english speaking vendors), accounts receivable, and team member expenses using our existing financial platformsSupport the Finance team with recurring account reconciliations and analysesServe as the first point of contact for Finance-related team member questions and third-party requests including managing internal Finance intranet pages and the Finance inboxRecord journal entries and complete balance sheet account reconciliations to support month-end closeExplain fluctuations in account activitySupport internal controls and process improvement to mitigate risk and ensure compliance with financial policiesFollow all organizational policies and proceduresPerform any other duties assignedPosition Requirements:Bachelor's degree or equivalentHighly proficient in spoken and written English2+ years experience in similar roleWorking knowledge of general accounting principlesCommitment to the mission and values of the organizationCommitment to continued personal and organizational growth in diversity, equity, inclusion, and justice principlesCompensation and BenefitsThis position is in a Grade Level (2) - Specialist job family and compensation for this role will follow within the range for that job family.Latin America: min: $19,838; max: $21,838 MXN per month (paid annually a 13 months).
