Position Overview

Everforth Apex Systems Mexico is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join a high-performing Platform Engineering organization focused on improving developer productivity, software delivery, and platform capabilities at scale. This role is adecuado for an experienced software engineer who can quickly contribute to internal platform development, developer tooling, cloud-native systems, and automation initiatives. The engineer will work across backend services, APIs, CI/CD tooling, and infrastructure-adjacent engineering challenges, helping development teams build, deploy, and operate software more efficiently and reliably. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with software engineers, technical leads, platform teams, and cross-functional stakeholders to design scalable solutions that enhance engineering excellence and operational maturity.

Key Responsibilities

- Software Development & Platform Engineering Design, develop, test, deploy, and support scalable software systems and platform services.
- Build and maintain backend applications, APIs, and internal engineering tools.
- Develop solutions that improve developer productivity and streamline engineering workflows.
- Contribute to modernization initiatives across software delivery and platform capabilities.

Developer Experience & Automation

- Develop and enhance developer portals, self-service workflows, and automation platforms.
- Reduce friction in engineering processes through tooling and workflow improvements.




- Build services and utilities that enable engineering teams to operate more efficiently.
- Support platform governance, maintainability, and operational best practices.

Cloud & Delivery Platforms

- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and software delivery automation.
- Support cloud-native applications and containerized environments.
- Work closely with platform teams to improve deployment, reliability, and system scalability.
- Participate in infrastructure-adjacent engineering initiatives that strengthen operational excellence.

Reliability & Troubleshooting

- Diagnose and resolve system, application, and platform issues.
- Analyze performance bottlenecks and reliability concerns across services and environments.
- Improve monitoring, observability, and operational support processes.
- Promote software quality through testing, debugging, and engineering best practices.

Collaboration

- Partner with engineers, architects, and technical stakeholders to solve complex technical challenges.
- Participate in technical design discussions and architecture reviews.
- Document solutions, technical decisions, and operational processes.
- Mentor team members and contribute to engineering excellence initiatives.

Required Experience & Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent practical experience. 5+ years of professional software engineering experience building and supporting production systems. Strong programming experience in Java. Additional experience with Go or Python is a plus.



Experience designing and developing backend services, APIs, and distributed applications. Strong understanding of software design principles, testing methodologies, debugging, and system reliability. Experience working with cloud platforms and cloud-native architectures. Hands‑on experience with:

- Kubernetes
- Containerization technologies
- CI/CD platforms and delivery automation
- Experience working within modern software engineering environments and agile teams.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with Platform Engineering initiatives.
- Experience developing internal developer tools and self-service platforms.
- Familiarity with AWS cloud services.
- Experience supporting Developer Experience (DevEx) programs.
- Exposure to JavaScript and/or React for developer-facing interfaces.
- Experience with developer portals and engineering productivity tooling.
- Knowledge of infrastructure automation and platform modernization efforts.
- Exposure to AI-enabled development tools, agent‑driven workflows, or AI-assisted engineering platforms.
