Rebecca Kitson Law (RKL) is seeking a high-energy, empathetic, and detail-oriented professional to join our Client Services Team as a remote Bilingual Intake Specialist (front-end/opener). This role requires someone who excels at building rapport and supporting prospective clients through the early stages of their immigration journey with compassion, clarity, and a positive, resilient mindset.
Why This Role Matters
This position is often a client's first experience with the firm. Many families arrive with fear or uncertainty, and the specialist in this role sets the tone- offering a calm, informed, and welcoming presence that helps clients feel heard and supported from the very first contact. The intake specialist guides interested leads through the intake and consultation pipeline. The primary focus is to turn interested leads into committed, scheduled consultations.
Key Responsibilities
Intake & Initial Screening:
- Conduct quality, detailed immigration screenings to help identify viable cases.
- Build rapport with compassion, active listening, and cultural humility.
- Screen accurately for information on family and humanitarian immigration options based on the prospect's interest and flow of the conversation.
- Collect consultation fees and maintain organized consultation calendar events and documentation.
- Log intakes for legal assessment tracking, track attorney response outcomes, and follow appropriate post-assessment procedures.
- Support the reception team to receive new leads or help route calls appropriately
- Provide and maintain professional call etiquette at all times.
Required Qualifications
- Fully bilingual in Spanish and English (speaking, reading, writing, listening, and comprehension).
- Strong and professional call etiquette using cloud-based VoIP (respectful, patient, and emotionally grounded during conversations)
- Strong ability to build trust through a warm, compassionate, people-centered approach.
- Excellent attention to detail, organization, accuracy, and task tracking.
- Ability to work independently, manage time well, and stay focused in a remote environment.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Windows computer required (not Mac).
Preferred Attributes
- Prior immigration intake experience strongly preferred over legal assistance or case management.
- Highly proactive and internally motivated.
- Thrives in a role where compassion and close attention to detail work together
- Knowledgeable with CRM and software such as Monday.com, Lawmatics, Microsoft, or similar.
Contractor Terms
- This is an independent contractor position, not an employee role
- You are responsible for your own taxes under Mexican law
- No U.S. employee benefits are provided
- Paid U.S. holiday breaks, daily wellness breaks, and other performance-based bonuses.
- Structure Rest Period Allowances.
- You will be required to sign an independent contractor agreement
- Base compensation is determined by experience and paid in USD
- 40 project hours per week, Monday-Friday, U.S. Mountain Time.
