The Sr. Manufacturing Industrial Engineering Manager is responsible for driving operational excellence across the manufacturing site by leading high‑impact industrial engineering initiatives. This role oversees a team of engineers and partners closely with Operations leadership to optimize processes, improve productivity, reduce costs, and deploy advanced technologies. What you will do in this role
Leadership & Strategy
Develop, communicate, and execute the Industrial Engineering strategy aligned to site and general business objectives.
Lead, mentor, and develop a high‑performing team of industrial engineers across multiple shifts or sites.
Champion a culture of continuous improvement, lean manufacturing, and operational excellence.
Influence cross‑functional leaders and drive alignment for engineering initiatives and improvement programs.
Process Optimization
Analyze workflows, material flow, and production lines to identify improvement opportunities and remove waste.
Conduct time studies, line balancing, capacity analysis, and ergonomic assessments to ensure optimal performance.
Define and implement standardized work, manufacturing best practices, and performance metrics.
Lead Kaizen events and structured problem‑solving sessions (A3, DMAIC, 5 Why, etc.).
Technology & Innovation
Evaluate, introduce, and deploy automation solutions, advanced manufacturing technologies, and Industry 4.0 tools.
Utilize data analytics,
dashboards, and simulation models to predict bottlenecks and optimize plant performance.
Support digital transformation initiatives, ensuring successful adoption of new technologies.
Cost, Productivity & Capital Projects
Deliver measurable improvements in labor productivity, throughput, cycle time, and operational cost reduction.
Lead layout redesigns, capacity planning, and process flow optimization for current and future state operations.
Support capital investment projects including ROI analysis, layout creation, and equipment specification.
Drive cost‑saving initiatives through waste elimination, efficiency improvements, and automation.
Cross‑Functional Collaboration
Work closely with operations, quality, maintenance, supply chain, and engineering to ensure seamless execution of initiatives.
Provide industrial engineering support for New Product Introduction (NPI), new equipment installation, and plant expansions.
Act as a strategic partner to leadership, escalating risks and proposing solutions with strong data‑driven rationale.
What we’re looking for
Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
Minimum 8–10 years of experience in Industrial Engineering roles within a manufacturing environment (high‑mix/complex operations preferred).
Proven experience leading engineering teams, ideally across multiple sites or a large‑scale operation.
Strong expertise in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma (Green/Black Belt preferred), and continuous improvement methodologies.
Demonstrated success driving large‑scale productivity and cost‑reduction initiatives.
Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and program management skills.
Excellent communication skills in English and Spanish (bilingual required).
