The role The primary goal of the Collections Team Leader is to oversee and guide the team of collection agents, ensuring that daily operations are executed efficiently and effectively in line with company standards. This role involves supervising the team's performance, supporting adherence to collection protocols, and fostering a high-performing environment. Additionally, the leader will develop and implement new strategies and innovative approaches to improve collection rates, enhance team productivity, and maximize recoveries. By continuously analyzing operational processes and exploring new opportunities, the role aims to drive ongoing improvements and ensure the team contributes positively to the company's financial goals. The responsibilities Team Supervision and Performance Management :
Lead, motivate, and
develop collection agents to achieve individual and team goals.
Monitor team
performance metrics and initiate coaching or corrective actions as needed.
Conduct regular one-on-one meetings to provide feedback and support professional growth.
Operational Oversight:
Ensure daily collection
activities are executed efficiently and according to company policies and
procedures.
Maintain compliance
with relevant regulations and internal standards across all collection
processes.
Manage workflow and
allocate resources effectively to meet collection targets.
Strategy Development and Implementation:
Design and
implement innovative collection strategies to improve recovery rates.
Collaborate with
management to develop new tactics, scripts, and automation solutions.
Use data analysis
to identify opportunities for operational improvement and risk mitigation.
Monitoring and Reporting:
Track and analyze
performance metrics and key indicators related to collections.
Prepare and
present reports on team performance, collections results, and improvement
initiatives to senior management.
Identify trends
and respond proactively to changing collection environments.
Customer and Stakeholder Engagement:
Ensure respectful
and compliant communication with customers during collection processes.
Coordinate with
other departments (e.g., legal, compliance, customer service) to support
overall operational effectiveness.
Continuous Improvement:
Foster a culture
of continuous improvement through regular training and development.
Stay updated on
industry best practices and incorporate innovative approaches into team operations.

Excel (medium.
Reporting and calculating KPI of the team.
Quality audits.
Setting and programming the predictive dialer
Have strong Spanish and English written and verbal communication skills.
Knowledge & Experience
Knowledge about the collection rules in Mexico
Ability to work with CRM (salesforce), different databases and software’s.
Manage different negotiation skills and handling arguments.
Previous experience working as team leader or supervisor in the collections area (1 year).
Experience in collections in a similar sector or product.
Experience working with external partners (external agencies)
Experience in customer service (is a plus.
Qualifications
Ability to motivate, coach and mentor a team.
Enjoys working with people and can easily adapt to changes.
Proactive, data driven and enthusiastic.
High attention to detail and ability to manage tasks simultaneously.
Excellent teamwork skills and capable of working independently.
