Short-Form Video Editor – Social Media & Content

Our client is a marketing and creative agency that helps brands grow through a combination of digital marketing, social media, content creation, video production, paid media, and creative design .
The agency works with brands across different industries, developing engaging, social-first content designed to build audiences, increase brand visibility, and support business growth.
The team is currently expanding its video production capabilities to support a new college-focused social app . The project will involve creating authentic, engaging short-form content featuring college campuses, student conversations, street interviews, and promotional material.

We are looking for a Short-Form Video Editor to join the creative team and support the launch of a new social app designed for college students.
The primary focus of this role will be editing short-form social media content for platforms such as Instagram Reels, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts.
You will work with raw footage, often recorded on phones or other lightweight equipment, and turn it into polished, engaging content that feels natural to a young U.A strong understanding of social media culture, Gen Z content, pacing, storytelling, and current short-form video trends is important for this role.
Candidates with previous experience editing street interviews, man-on-the-street content, campus videos, interviews, UGC, or youth-oriented social content are especially encouraged to apply.

Edit short-form videos for TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts,



and other social platforms.
Turn raw phone-shot and camera footage into polished, engaging social content.
Edit college campus tours, street interviews, student conversations, promotional videos, and UGC-style content.
Add captions, subtitles, text overlays, and other social-first elements.
Perform basic color correction and audio cleanup.
Maintain consistency in visual quality, pacing, and editing style across content.
Manage a high volume of content during the app's launch period.
Potentially support video projects for other agency clients as the role develops.

Proven experience editing short-form social media content .
Strong proficiency with Adobe Premiere Pro or comparable Adobe video-editing software.
Ability to turn raw footage into engaging short-form content.
Experience with basic color correction and audio editing.
Good understanding of TikTok, Instagram Reels, and other short-form formats.
Strong English communication skills.

Previous experience editing street interviews or man-on-the-street videos .
Experience with college, campus, student, Gen Z, lifestyle, dating, social, or UGC content.
Experience working with high-volume social media content.
Familiarity with Adobe After Effects .
Basic motion graphics and animation skills.
Strong awareness of current TikTok and Instagram editing trends.

Use music and sound effects when they enhance the content.
Keep the content authentic and conversational.
Avoid excessive transitions, effects, and animations when they don't add value.
