Summary The Security & K-9 Unit Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily security operations, managing security officers, and ensuring the safety and security of people, property, and assets. The K-9 Unit Supervisor is responsible for leading and managing the site’s K-9 program. This position provides leadership, operational support, training, and incident management while ensuring compliance with company policies, and procedures for La Ada de Acuna Nogales Plant and Owens & Minor de Mexico Nogales Offices. Essential Job Functions Security Supervisor: Performs his duties with minimal supervision. Works jointly with the Systems Security Supervisor to identify and mitigate security vulnerabilities and operational risks. Partners closely with the Systems Security Supervisor to ensure alignment between physical security operations and security technology systems. Supervise, direct and trains security personnel to ensure the correct performance of the security force. Monitor operations to ensure compliance with established policies and procedures. Respond to and manage security incidents, emergencies, and investigations. Coordinate investigations utilizing video surveillance, access control records, and other security system data. Respond to security emergencies after hours. Ability to assess risk and make sound decisions under pressure. Conduct site audits, and supplier security inspections in accordance with CTPAT and AEO guidelines to ensure supply chain security program compliance. Maintain CTPAT and AEO program compliance. Identify risk and vulnerabilities and implement best practices, policies and procedures to minimize company exposure. Assist in reviewing, developing and implementing security procedures and work instructions. Investígate security incidents at La Ada de Acuna and Owens & Minor de Mexico. Provides investigative support to other departments when requested.
Prepare reports and presentations regarding the Security program effectiveness and operational metrics. K-9 Unit Supervision: Ensures the effective utilization of the K-9 Unit to support CTPAT and AEO program compliance. Overseas canine health, welfare, care, training schedules, and certification requirements. Ensures K-9 teams maintain operational proficiency. Supervise the K-9 Unit operational deployment, conduct inspections of K-9 equipment, vehicles, kennels and training aids. Ensures daily inspections of IIT’s and finished goods before they depart the premises. Prepare reports and presentations regarding K-9 program effectiveness and operational metrics. Responds to security incidents requiring K-9 deployment. Ensures that (IO-13485, FDA/GMP) norm requirements and quality regulations are followed in accordance with established policies and procedures. Follows O& M behaviors. Education and Experience: • SCHOLARSHIP: High School. • LENGUAGES: Advanced English. • EXPERICENCE: At least 3 years of security supervision and K-9 unit experience.
