- Understands manufacturing realities, with experience designing for processes such as casting, forging, stamping, injection molding, machining, welding, tube bending, hydroforming, plating, and fabrication.

- Works effectively across regions and cultures, partnering with integral engineering teams and suppliers.
- Specific responsibilities:- Executes complex engineering projects involving development of new products and changes to existing products including specification, concept, design, qualification, and verification of products and sub-assemblies.
- Creates and maintains product specifications to meet Kohler's performance and quality standards as well as regulatory requirements for intended regions.
- Utilize core tools modules such as SPC (CPK and PPK), PPAPs and PPR.
- Coordinates engineering activities with other functional areas, remote plants, suppliers, and contractors.
- Hard Skills- Full understanding of product design and development process.
- Able to create and defend tolerance stack-up analysis- Moderate understanding of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T;) per ASME Y14.5- Moderate understanding in design verification and validation (DVP&Rs;).
- Root cause analysis and problem-solving advocate.
- Competitive product benchmarking seeker.

- Regulatory and standards compliance.
- Moderate use of CREO CAD software to model and/or inspect 3D files, revision of assemblies and 2D drawings.
- CAD data management (Windchill or similar).
- Moderate understanding of materials science, especially for Metal, Glass, Wood and finishes for selection.

**Skills/Requirements**EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS- Engineer II Level:- Bachelor of science degree in mechanical engineering.
- Minimum of 1 to 3 years of mechanical engineering experience.
- International and domestic travel as needed.
- Master in mechanical design or innovation optional.
