We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Safety & Compliance Administrator to join our team in Nuevo Laredo, Mexico, and support our safety, regulatory compliance, and fleet operations initiatives.

Position Summary

The Safety & Compliance Administrator will be responsible for ensuring compliance with transportation safety regulations, Hours of Service (HOS) requirements, fuel management programs, driver qualification files, and company safety policies. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in trucking safety and compliance, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work closely with drivers, dispatch, and operations teams.

Key ResponsibilitiesSafety & Compliance Administration

- Monitor and maintain compliance with company safety policies and transportation regulations.
- Manage driver qualification files and ensure all mandatory documents remain current.
- Conduct regular audits of compliance records, permits, licenses, and certifications.
- Track and maintain records related to accidents, incidents, violations, and corrective actions.
- Assist in preparing documentation for internal and external safety audits.

Hours of Service (HOS) Management

- Monitor driver logs and Electronic Logging Device (ELD) records.
- Review and audit HOS reports to ensure compliance with applicable regulations.
- Identify violations and work with drivers and operations teams to implement corrective actions.
- Maintain records of HOS compliance and generate management reports.

Fuel Management & Monitoring

- Monitor fuel purchases and fuel card transactions.
- Investigate fuel discrepancies, unauthorized transactions, and fuel theft concerns.




- Generate fuel consumption reports and identify opportunities for cost savings and improved fuel efficiency.
- Work with operations teams to ensure compliance with fueling procedures.

Driver Safety Programs

- Support driver training and safety initiatives.
- Maintain records of training, certifications, and safety meetings.
- Track driver performance, violations, and coaching activities.
- Assist in organizing safety campaigns and awareness programs.

Regulatory Compliance

- Ensure compliance with transportation regulations applicable to cross-border operations.
- Maintain accurate compliance documentation and filing systems.
- Coordinate with regulatory agencies and support inspections when required.
- Assist in updating company policies and procedures based on regulatory changes.

Reporting & Administration

- Prepare weekly and monthly safety and compliance reports.
- Analyze compliance trends and recommend improvements.
- Maintain accurate records and databases.
- Support management with safety-related projects and administrative duties.

QualificationsRequired

- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Business Administration, Transportation, Logistics, Occupational Safety, or related field.
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in trucking safety and compliance.
- Strong knowledge of:
- Hours of Service (HOS)
- ELD systems
- Transportation safety regulations
- Fuel management and fuel card monitoring
- Driver qualification files and compliance documentation
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Strong analytical and organizational skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred

- Experience working in cross-border transportation operations.
- Knowledge of Canadian, U.S., and Mexican transportation compliance requirements.
- Familiarity with fleet management and transportation management systems.
- Bilingual English and Spanish communication skills.

Pay: $20,000.00 - $24,000.00 per month
