REMOTE INTERIOR DESIGN & SELECTIONS COORDINATOR

Moontower Design + Build | Remote | Part-Time

Reports to: Design Director

Focus: Residential selections, materials, documentation, procurement support, and interior design coordination

Location: Remote

Schedule: Part-Time; approximately 15-25 hours per week

Compensation: $16-$22 USD/hour, depending on experience

Regular availability that overlaps with the Austin/Central Time workday will be important.

Help turn beautiful ideas into organized, buildable decisions.

Moontower Design + Build is looking for a highly organized Interior Design & Selections Coordinator to support our Austin-based design team remotely.

This is a design-support role for someone who understands interiors but also genuinely enjoys the organizational side of getting projects built: tracking selections, researching materials, maintaining schedules and specifications, coordinating information, communicating with vendors, and making sure decisions do not fall through the cracks.

You may occasionally assist with presentations, drafting, modeling, or rendering depending on your skill set, but this position is primarily focused on selections coordination, documentation, and project support-not full-time modeling or drafting.

The Role at a Glance

What You'll Do

Coordinate Materials and Selections

- Maintain accurate material, fixture, finish, and FF&E; selections across active residential projects.
- Organize finish schedules, product information, specifications, samples, and client decisions.
- Research materials, fixtures, furnishings, vendors, pricing, availability, and lead times.
- Keep selection information current and easy for designers, purchasing, estimating, and project management to access.
- Track outstanding decisions and follow up on missing information before it affects the project schedule.

Support the Design Team

- Assist designers in preparing client presentations, material palettes, mood boards, and selection packages.
- Help translate design decisions into clear schedules and documentation.
- Support light drafting, modeling,

or rendering when needed and when it aligns with your skill set.
- Organize digital design libraries, product information, samples, and project resources.
- Help maintain Moontower's presentation and documentation standards across projects.

Keep Projects Organized

- Document decisions, meeting notes, follow-up items, and deadlines.
- Update project information and next steps in tools such as JobTread, Programa, Google Workspace, and other internal systems.
- Coordinate information between designers, estimators, purchasers, project managers, vendors, and outside partners.
- Help review quotes, orders, product details, quantities, lead times, and delivery information.
- Flag conflicting, incomplete, or overdue information early.

Support Procurement

- Assist with vendor communication and quote collection.
- Help maintain purchasing schedules and order information.
- Track orders, lead times, expected deliveries, backorders, substitutions, and installation needs.
- Organize supporting documentation so the team can quickly understand the status of each selection or purchase.

What Success Looks Like

- Selection schedules are accurate and current.
- Important client decisions are clearly documented.
- Designers spend less time chasing information and more time designing.
- Vendors, purchasing, estimating, and project managers receive clear information when they need it.
- Long-lead items and unresolved selections are identified early.
- Project files remain organized and usable by the entire team.
- You follow through independently and communicate quickly when something needs attention.

What You Bring

- Professional experience in interior design,

residential design, architecture, design-build, selections coordination, or a closely related field.
- A good eye for materials, color, finish, scale, and residential design.
- Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
- Experience working with finish schedules, specifications, product sourcing, procurement, or selections is highly valuable.
- The ability to research products and vendors thoroughly and compare options accurately.
- Strong written and verbal English communication.
- Comfort working independently while collaborating closely with a U.S.-based team.
- The ability to manage multiple projects and follow-up items without losing track of details.
- Reliable internet and a professional remote working environment.

Experience with programs such as Archicad, Twinmotion, Enscape, Morpholio, Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, Studio Designer, Programa, JobTread, or Google Workspace is helpful. You do not need to know every platform.

Experience creating drawings, renderings, or presentation materials is a plus, but the primary need is someone who can organize and coordinate interior design work exceptionally well.

How We Work

Moontower values people who:

- Are generous team players who share information and make the people around them better.
- Have fun and build with craft, respecting the care and discipline behind excellent work.
- Work thoughtfully and respectfully, with curiosity about clients, teammates, and different perspectives.
- Are clear, consistent, and accountable, communicating early and following through on commitments.

Why Moontower

Moontower brings architecture, interiors, and construction together under one collaborative team.

In this position, you will support custom residential projects where design decisions are connected directly to estimating, purchasing, construction, and installation. You will work with experienced designers and builders and gain exposure to the full process of bringing thoughtfully designed homes to life.
