Summary Description .

The Field Technical Technician for the Flexibles Division is one of the main technical contacts between the customers’ production teams and TOPPAN. This role is responsible for supporting packaging equipment operations, qualification trials, troubleshooting quality and production issues, and ensuring successful implementation of TOPPAN packaging solutions at customer manufacturing sites.

The ideal candidate is bilingual in English and Spanish and thrives in a customer-facing environment. This individual will work directly with production, maintenance, quality, and engineering teams at customer facilities to optimize equipment performance, resolve technical issues, support qualification activities, and strengthen customer relationships.

This position requires frequent travel and regular on-site presence at customer locations throughout Mexico, with particular focus on Salinas and Monterrey, Nuevo León.

What You'll Be Doing

- Provide on-site technical support for adaptable packaging applications and packaging equipment.

- Serve as a primary technical liaison between the customer’s manufacturing facilities and TOPPAN’s operations.

- Lead and support qualification trials for new packaging materials, equipment settings, and production processes.

- Work closely with customer production, maintenance, engineering, and quality teams to ensure successful implementation of packaging solutions.

- Troubleshoot packaging material, machine performance, and quality-related issues directly at customer facilities.





- Investigate product and packaging defects and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime and improve performance.

- Support root cause analysis activities and develop technical recommendations for customers.

- Collaborate with Application Development, Quality, Operations, Commercial, and Technical teams to commercialize new business opportunities.

- Prepare detailed service reports documenting trials, troubleshooting efforts, customer feedback, and action plans.

- Build strong relationships with customer operations and quality teams while serving as a trusted technical advisor.

- Provide hands-on support during startup activities, product launches, and process improvement initiatives.

- Travel frequently throughout Mexico, including regular visits to customer facilities in Salinas and Monterrey.

Remote based in Mexico, preferably in Monterrey, Nuevo León.

Frequent travel and routine customer-site support are required, with significant presence expected at customer locations in Salinas and Monterrey.

Required Qualifications

- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish (written and verbal).

- 2+ years of experience in field service, maintenance, technical support, manufacturing, or packaging operations.

- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in manufacturing environments.

- Experience working directly with customer production teams and plant personnel.

- Solid mechanical aptitude and hands-on technical capabilities.

- Ability to travel extensively and work regularly from customer facilities.

- Strong communication and relationship management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with flexible packaging, food packaging, or converting operations.

- Experience supporting or operating packaging equipment from manufacturers such as: Bosch, Syntegon, Matrix, Mespack, Rovema, Viking Masek,



Promach, or other form-fill-seal (FFS) packaging systems.

- General knowledge of packaging materials, films, laminations, and sealing technologies.

- Experience supporting quality investigations and continuous improvement initiatives.

- Familiarity with food manufacturing environments and packaging validation processes.
