Purpose of Role

The Materials & Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for ensuring the integrity, accuracy and control of all raw materials, purchased components, WIP and finished goods inventory. The role provides leadership to warehouse and materials personnel while ensuring inventory transactions are accurately maintained within the organisation's ERP system, supporting efficient production operations and excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and supervise all warehouse and materials management activities.
- Ensure complete accuracy and integrity of inventory records within ERP system
- Manage the receipt, storage, movement and issue of raw materials, components and finished goods.
- Maintain accurate inventory transactions and ensure all stock movements are processed in real time within IQMS.
- Ensure full traceability of materials and finished goods in accordance with customer and regulatory requirements.
- Oversee inventory control processes including cycle counting, stock audits and annual physical inventories.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.




- Ensure inventory accuracy targets are consistently achieved.
- Manage warehouse layout and storage systems to maximise efficiency and material flow.
- Ensure production areas are supplied with materials in line with production schedules and customer requirements.
- Monitor inventory levels and support purchasing and planning teams to minimise shortages and excess stock.
- Ensure finished goods are correctly identified, stored and shipped in accordance with customer specifications.
- Lead shipping and receiving activities to ensure on-time delivery performance.
- Develop and maintain warehouse operating procedures and inventory control standards.
- Ensure compliance with FIFO and other inventory management requirements.
- Support customer, internal and external audits relating to inventory and traceability.
- Lead and develop Warehouse Operatives, Material Handlers and Inventory Controllers.
- Monitor warehouse KPIs and develop action plans to improve performance.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives relating to inventory accuracy, warehouse efficiency and material flow.
- Ensure all warehouse activities comply with health and safety requirements.
- Promote high standards of housekeeping,



organisation and visual management within warehouse operations.

Qualifications & Experience

- Minimum 3 years' experience in warehouse, logistics or materials management within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong inventory management and stock control experience.
- Experience managing warehouse teams and inventory control processes.
- Strong understanding of material planning, inventory transactions and ERP system controls.
- Experience with cycle counting, inventory reconciliation and root cause analysis.
- Knowledge of automotive manufacturing and traceability requirements would be advantageous.
- Strong organisational, analytical and problem-solving skills.

Success Measures

- Inventory accuracy consistently maintained at target levels.
- Zero significant inventory discrepancies impacting production or customer deliveries.
- 100% traceability of materials and finished goods.
- Accurate and timely processing of all inventory transactions within IQMS.
- On-time delivery of customer shipments.
- Effective support of production through material availability.
- Successful completion of cycle counts and physical inventories.
- Continuous improvement in warehouse efficiency, inventory accuracy and stock control performance.

Critical Requirement

The Materials & Warehouse Supervisor is the site's primary custodian of inventory integrity. The role holder must ensure that physical inventory and ERP records remain fully aligned at all times, providing confidence in stock accuracy, production planning, customer delivery commitments and financial reporting.
