Corporate Real Estate & Business Services is a global team that manages our vast corporate real estate portfolio. It also has responsibility for corporate security, business continuity / resiliency, and business services such as facilities management. The team takes an innovative approach to supporting day-to-day operations and fostering a dynamic workplace, while driving commercial and operational efficiencies.
The Real Estate and Workplace Services Team Lead will guide and manage daily operations in the most effective way. Currently, the operation includes three offices with approximately 500 employees distributed among them. Responsibility includes managing all activities related to building maintenance, security, supply of materials and equipment, management of outsourced contracts, and management of infrastructure and physical space projects. This includes both owned and leased properties.
In addition, The Real Estate and Workplace Services Team Lead will be responsible for maintaining relationships with suppliers, partners, and other service providers, ensuring that all contracted services are delivered according to quality standards and within budget.
How you will create an impact
- Manage the company's corporate real estate portfolio and provide associated workplace services.
- Real Estate Services: Ensure the professional management of AIG-owned and leased properties and facilities, supporting health, safety, and ergonomics; managing projects and relocations as needed; planning workspace utilization; and overseeing critical infrastructure.
- Controls: Plan and oversee budgets and related cost development. Proactively identify and implement cost-saving opportunities.
- Third-Party Management: Ensure compliance with the third-party governance process within the area of responsibility. Provide oversight and specialized expertise across the organization regarding policies, support tools, roles and responsibilities, and annual risk assessments.
- Corporate Services: Manage a portfolio of services including audiovisual equipment, document management,
records management, fleet management, mail distribution, reception services, mobile telephony, and more.
- Health, Safety, and Environment: Support the Human Resources department in reviewing health, safety, and environmental policies to ensure compliance. Deliver periodic health and safety training to local staff. Promote sustainability initiatives benefiting the environment in areas such as energy, waste, emissions, digitalization, and related areas.
- Security Services: Ensure compliance with standards related to access control systems and CCTV.
- Business Continuity Services: Ensure compliance with all global requirements related to Business Continuity Planning (BCP), Disaster Recovery, and Incident Management Teams, including all required documentation, training, and mandatory simulation exercises.
- Ensure services are delivered professionally and expertly within the country and that AIG internal guidelines, standards, and policies are followed.
- Lead a team of motivated and committed colleagues to achieve optimal performance and independent thinking, aligned with AIG values.
- Provide professional operational services for the home country.
What you’ll need to succeed
- Bachelor’s degree required; preferably in Civil Engineering, Real Estate, or related fields.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in similar facilities management positions (experience from any industry is acceptable).
- Advanced English language level, or at least intermediate proficiency (participates in meetings with other countries), including speaking, reading, and writing fluency.
- Advanced Excel, including pivot tables and macros.
