Purpose of Role

The Production Supervisor is responsible for leading the safe, efficient and effective operation of a manufacturing area, ensuring production targets are achieved while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, delivery, cost and people management. The role provides frontline leadership to production teams and drives a culture of accountability, continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and supervise daily production activities within the assigned manufacturing area.
- Ensure all work is performed in compliance with company safety policies and procedures.
- Promote a strong safety culture through coaching, observations and active leadership.
- Manage production teams to achieve daily, weekly and monthly production targets.
- Conduct daily performance reviews and tier meetings.
- Monitor safety, quality, delivery and productivity KPIs and drive corrective actions where required.
- Ensure adherence to standard operating procedures and manufacturing standards.
- Manage employee attendance, scheduling, overtime and workforce allocation.
- Support recruitment, onboarding and training of production employees.
- Ensure employees are properly trained and certified for their roles.
- Lead performance management, coaching and employee development activities.
- Foster a positive, engaged and accountable team culture.




- Ensure customer quality requirements are consistently achieved.
- Lead containment and response activities for quality issues.
- Work closely with Quality, Engineering, Maintenance and Supply Chain teams to resolve operational issues.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on productivity, quality, safety and cost reduction.
- Ensure effective communication and handover between shifts.
- Maintain high housekeeping and 5S standards throughout the production area.
- Participate in root cause investigations for safety, quality and production incidents.
- Ensure production records and inventory system transactions are completed accurately.

Qualifications & Experience

- Diploma or Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management or related discipline preferred.
- Minimum 3 years' experience in a supervisory role within a manufacturing environment.
- Experience leading teams in a high-volume production environment.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, quality systems and health and safety requirements.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement principles.
- Strong leadership, communication and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in production reporting and KPI management.
