Flō Networks is a leading provider of telecommunications services between the United States and Mexico. We provide connectivity and managed services to Fortune 1000 companies, telecommunications and cable companies through a fiber optic network that extends for 35,000 km between both countries.

We have an immediate need for a Buyer in Ciudad Juarez, Chihuahua, Mexico.

The Role:

The Buyer is responsible for procuring goods and services necessary for the operation and growth of the company. This role involves sourcing suppliers, negotiating contracts, managing purchase orders, and ensuring timely delivery of quality products and services while adhering to company policies and budgetary guidelines. This position requires strong negotiation skills, market knowledge, and the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers.

The Responsibilities:

- Sourcing and Supplier Selection: Identify, evaluate, and select qualified suppliers based on price, quality, delivery, and reliability.
- Negotiation and Contract Management: Negotiate contracts with suppliers to secure the best possible terms and conditions. Manage existing contracts and ensure compliance.
- Purchase Order Processing: Create, manage and process purchase orders, track deliveries, and resolve any discrepancies.
- Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels and ensure that sufficient stock is available to meet operational needs while minimizing carrying costs.
- Market Research and Analysis: Stay informed about market trends, pricing fluctuations, and new technologies in the telecommunications industry.
- Cost Savings Initiatives:



Identify opportunities to reduce costs through strategic sourcing, negotiation, and process improvements.
- Supplier Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure reliable supply and favorable terms.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, such as engineering, operations, and finance, to understand their needs and ensure timely procurement of goods and services.
- Compliance: Adhere to company policies and procedures, as well as relevant regulations and ethical standards.
- Reporting and Documentation: Maintain accurate records of all purchasing activities and provide regular reports to management.

The Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field preferred. Relevant experience may be substituted for a degree.
- Proven experience in purchasing or procurement, preferably in the telecommunications industry.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of procurement principles, practices, and procedures.
- Familiarity with contract law and commercial terms.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency with ERP systems such as Netsuite, Oracle, SAP, etc.
- Customer service oriented.
- Negotiation skills with national and foreign suppliers
- Knowledge of Incoterms, foreign trade and customs.
- Fluent in both English and Spanish.
