Position title: Mechanical Engineer

Department: Concord Project Team

Location: La Barca, Mexico

Full/Part-time: Full Time

Organizational relationships

- Supervises: Jr Engineer, Welders, Contractors
- Coordinates with: HSE Officer, Project Teams, Mechanical, Civil Engineering Teams.

Academic qualification

- Desired: B. Sc. Mechanical Engineering

Experience

- Relevant: 5-10 years in Electrical Project Installation and Commissioning.

Primary Responsibilities

- Supervise erection and installation of mechanical equipment, piping (MS & SS), and structures.
- Execute erection and installation of MS & SS piping systems.
- Execute layout checking, equipment positioning, alignment, and levelling.
- Ensure erection activities as per approved drawings and technical specifications.
- Coordinate with civil and electrical teams for smooth project execution.
- Perform pre-commissioning and commissioning of mechanical systems.
- Conduct equipment trial runs and performance testing.
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues during commissioning.
- Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and site engineers.
- Monitor daily site progress and manpower deployment.
- Ensure work completion within scheduled timelines.
- Support project planning and execution activities.
- Follow company safety policies and site safety procedures.
- Ensure quality standards during erection and commissioning work.
- Maintain inspection reports, checklists, and records.




- Prepare commissioning reports and documentation.
- Attend Tool Box Meetings and give directions to the teams undertaking the mechanical and erection jobs.
- Should assist the Concord Safety Officer to prepare mechanical RAMS.
- Will handle the Installation and Commissioning of all Mechanicalin accordance with the detailed P&IDs.;
- Able to maintain documentation during plant trial/Site Acceptance Trial.
- Must assist in IQ/OQ trials.
- Participate in Project Review Meetings and make presentations as may be needed.
- Must have a clear understanding of safe electrical engineering practices to be followed.
- Interpret specifications, drawings, and regulations for the use of mechanical equipment where required.
- Make an Inventory of all incoming materials and organize for their issuance with the help of the storekeeper.
- Make sure that completed works meet specifications and safety standards.
- Contribute and adhere to the safety requirements of the operation.
- Will be required to attend to the panel and installation problems that may arise and solve them in consultation with the Project Manager and the vendors.
- Review engineering drawings, GA drawings, P&ID;, and fabrication drawings.
- Prepare daily/weekly progress reports.
- Maintain handover and completion documents.
