Quality Inspector focused on plasma, blend, sandblast, chemical cleaning and thermal processes, among others.
Its primary purpose is to audit, measure, and release parts between each of the stages of the repair process to ensure that they meet the limits of the Component Maintenance Manual (CMM).
Main functions in process
Intermediate Inspection: Visually and dimensionally evaluate the parts before, during and after each critical process to authorize their progress to the next station.
Special Process Monitoring: Audit that the operating parameters of the machines (furnace temperatures, sandblast pressure, plasma voltages, and chemical bath concentrations) strictly match the Travelers.
Thickness and Roughness Release: Measure layer thickness after the plasma process and verify surface roughness (Ra) post-sandblast using rugosimeters and micrometers.
Blend Control: Dimensionally inspect areas repaired by blending to ensure that material removal does not exceed the minimum engineering limits allowed by the manufacturer.
Documentation and Signatures (Stamp): Validate and stamp work orders (Travelers) at each phase of the process, ensuring total traceability of the component.
Non-Conforming Product Handling: Identify deviations in the process (e.g., cracks after heat treatment or defective plasma coatings), segregate the part,
and open the corrective action report (NCR).
