Location: NYC for approximately 6 months, followed by Monterrey, Mexico

Wanted: Brilliant, relentless, and obsessive engineers. You must be willing to tear apart complex robotic systems until you understand every component, interface, and failure mode. You must absorb dense technical information quickly and operate effectively amid ambiguity and chaos. The mission is immense.

The Reality of This Role Reflex Robotics is scaling rapidly and expanding production in Monterrey, Mexico. We are looking for an obsessive learner who can master the product, strengthen the manufacturing system, and take ownership of production performance on the ground.

For the first 6 months, you will be embedded in our NYC headquarters. You will need to absorb a massive amount of complex electromechanical architecture in record time. You will get your hands dirty on the production floor - not just to build, but to relentlessly analyze root-cause failures, optimize assembly sequences, and improve our current workflows.

After the NYC phase, you will go back to Monterrey as the on-site systems expert, supporting production, quality, technician training, and continuous improvement.

You must be equally comfortable on the factory floor, in CAD, working with suppliers, and designing the fixtures, processes, and systems required to turn complex electromechanical assemblies into repeatable production.

What You Will Actually Do

- Master the System: Spend 6 months in NYC deeply analyzing our electromechanical architecture and assembly processes. You will map constraints, identify failure modes, and design the engineering workflows required to scale production from dozens to thousands.
- Design and Scale the Line: Design workstations, assembly sequences, material flow, fixtures, tooling, and process documentation for module-level and full-robot assembly. Use production data and direct floor observation to improve repeatability,



ergonomics, quality, cost, and throughput.
- System-Level Ownership: Our robots contain thousands of components across mechanical and electrical systems. One missed detail can take down the robot. You must understand the architecture well enough to spot small anomalies, trace them to their root cause, and prevent them from becoming critical failures.
- Scale Production in Mexico: Improve line layout, strengthen quality systems, transfer technical knowledge, and increase production reliability and throughput.
- Lead the Line: You will eventually hire, train, and become the primary technical authority for the local technician workforce. When a manufacturing process fails, you are responsible for finding the root cause and redesigning it.

The Hard Requirements (Immigration & Technical)

- Advanced written and spoken English proficiency (B2 or higher).
- You must hold a Bachelor’s degree or Licenciatura in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, Mechatronics, or another directly related engineering discipline. This degree requirement is necessary for the TN visa sponsorship pathway contemplated for this role.
- 4–6 years of engineering experience in a high-quality manufacturing environment.
- Deep understanding of systems engineering, quality assurance protocols, and what world-class manufacturing actually looks like.
- High sense of urgency, a founder's mentality, and a relentless need to understand how things work.
