Company Description

Arena Capital is a search fund based in Mexico, founded in 2024 with the objective of acquiring and operating a single company in Mexico. We partner with a business owner seeking a trusted team to continue growing their company, backed by 15 investors, including institutional funds and individual investors with general experience in this model.

Role Description

As our Search Fund Intern, you are at the front of the fund's origination engine: finding companies worth pursuing, building and verifying the data behind them, and helping us reach the people who own them. It is real work with real weight from week one, not shadowing. If you are curious about ETA and private equity, this is a chance to live it from the inside as a student.

Over six months you will also own one high-impact project that stays with the fund and gets put to work on future deals. Part-time (15-20 hours per week), fully remote, built to fit around your class schedule. Month one is a mutual trial, and at month six there may be an opportunity to continue with Arena.

What will you do

- Build and enrich our target-company database: revenue estimates, headcount, ownership, decision-maker contacts, and sector.
- Research industries and companies, and turn that into clear one-page profiles.
- Support owner outreach: prioritized lists, message drafts, and follow-up tracking.




- Prepare internal materials: memos, company profiles, and ad-hoc analysis.
- Own one semester project from scope to delivery.

Qualifications

- Strong Analytical Skills for financial modeling, data interpretation, and evaluating company performance.
- Effective Communication abilities, including clear written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
- Research capabilities for industry analysis, competitive benchmarking, and company profiling.
- Currently enrolled undergraduate student, from the 2nd semester onwards, in Business, Economics, Finance, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint. Basic financial modeling is a plus.
- High level of initiative and curiosity: personal projects, entrepreneurship, research, or student leadership.
- Hands-on use of AI tools for data analysis and automation. Experience with tools like Claude Code is a plus.
- Working English for reading reports and occasional calls.
- Availability of 15 to 20 hours per week for the full 6 months. No prior investment experience required.
