Role Overview

We are looking for a detail-oriented and dependable Staff Accountant to join our Finance & Accounting team in Mexico. This position will support the day-to-day accounting operations of the business, maintain accurate financial records,



perform account reconciliations, and assist with the monthly close process.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience using SAP in an accounting environment, a strong understanding of general ledger accounting, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

What Must Happen in This Role

- Maintain accurate and complete accounting records in accordance with company policies and applicable accounting standards.
- Perform monthly bank, balance sheet, and general ledger account reconciliations.
- Assist with the month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Prepare and post journal entries in SAP.
- Review accounting transactions for accuracy, completeness, and proper account coding.
- Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable activities as needed.
- Monitor and reconcile intercompany transactions.
- Assist with accruals, prepaid expenses, fixed assets, and other general ledger accounts.
- Support the preparation of monthly financial reports and management reporting.
- Investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies and unusual account activity.




- Maintain organized documentation and supporting schedules for financial transactions.
- Assist with audits and provide requested documentation and explanations.
- Support compliance with Mexican accounting, tax, and statutory reporting requirements.
- Work closely with Operations and other departments to resolve financial and accounting issues.
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, controls, and reporting.
- Perform other accounting and finance responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications/Experience

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 2+ years of accounting experience with hands-on SAP experience required.
- Conversational English skills are required to communicate with colleagues and stakeholders across the organization.
- Experience with general ledger accounting, reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end close.
- Experience supporting financial reporting and audits preferred.
- Familiarity with Mexican accounting and tax requirements.
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment preferred.
- Experience working for a multinational or international organization is a plus.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
