We are looking for a highly motivated Applications Engineer (AE) to join our Automotive Processors (AP) Business Line to support Mass Market/Distribution customers in the Americas region. NXP’s products are used by all major Automotive OEMs and suppliers along with select Industrial customers. As an Applications Engineer you will be a key technical interface between our general R&D; organization and our Distributor partners and end customers to enable the successful design-in of NXP’s products.
**Your Responsibilities**
- Provide feedback to the Product Marketing, Systems and Design teams on the success of NXP products in the mass market and recommend improvements to hardware, software and collateral
- Develop and deliver technical training to NXP Field Applications Engineers (FAEs), Distributor FAEs and end customers on new Automotive processors and their associated software and tools
- Provide technical support to key customers in the Americas region
- Develop / contribute to the development of:




- Hardware, software and development tool documentation including but not limited to:
- product brief; out-of-box user guide; development tool user guide
- Testing of software versions, stacks and operating systems
- Example code to enable customer evaluation of processor features
- Attend NXP, Distributor and customer/industry events
**To be successful in this role you should have**:
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Electronic Engineering or a similar discipline
- Experience of embedded C language programming
- An advanced understanding of Microcontrollers and Microprocessors
- Advanced English and Spanish communication skills (verbal & written)
- The ability to travel within the USA, Canada and Central/South America without restriction
