TRANSHIPMENT
POSITION PURPOSE
Ensures that all cargo is transhipped smoothly and will handle special events while the containers are in their port(s).
**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES**:
Manage TS cargo and connections including renominations and specials & shutting
Check accuracy of next legs
Manage cut instructions (TS) and monitor LARA updates to inform cargo ops




Perform customs declarations, discharge, and load for TS cargo
Report and monitor TS cargo readiness
Hazardous and OOG cargo approval, ensure documentation required
Coordinate tight connections
Follow up on transhipments shut outs (inform POL/Bkg agents) and create Memo BL in case of need
Transfers between terminals, follow up with port teams, terminals, truckers that transfer between terminals is done in the right time to reach vessel connection
Idle containers, review cargo is updated to the best connection to avoid cargo idle at port
Follow up special cargo including reefer transhipment cold treatment
Manage overlanded and short landed cargo due to cargo damaged, customs inspections, reefer failure, COD requests.
VCR RFI - Supporting with documents and approvals in the CORSAIR system for the payment of invoices related to transhipments and OPS
