**Position: Finance Controller**
- Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting
- 8 to 10 years of experience in General Accounting and/or Business with prior leadership experience and minimum of 5 years of manufacturing experience, preferably in automotive.
- SAP knowledge required / BPC knowledge is a bonus.
- Strong Cost Accounting experience and analytical skills
- CPA or CMA preferred.
- Knowledge of Sarbanes Oxley (SOX or J-SOX) preferred.
- Superior verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent planning and organizational skills
- Good conflict resolution and analysis skills and experience working in a multi-cultural environment.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a team.
- Availability to travel
**Responsibilities**:
- Partner with Plant Manager and Operations team on all aspects of the business to drive maximum profitability.
- Responsible for leading and performing all controlling functions and financial reporting activities including month-end close, P&L; preparation, and ownership of assigned balance sheet accounts.
- Perform cost center reporting, material and labor & overhead variance analysis, forecasting, and KPI management.
- Maintain and report on standard product costs, including cost rolls in SAP as required.
- Coordinate, support, and report on all inventory-related activities including cycle counting.
- Key owner of the annual budget and periodic financial forecasts ensuring all objectives are met.




- Develop and implement policies and procedures to maintain an environment of internal control and compliance with NGK accounting policies and J-SOX requirements.
- Safeguard all plant assets including inventory and capital assets via robust processes and internal controls.
- Liaise with Regional Headquarters on key business and accounting issues.
- Manage plant-level quarterly and year-end internal and external audits.
- Train and develop direct reports and other associates to be experts on manufacturing processes focusing on measuring and improving profitability.
- Identify and lead special projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures which include JSOX, IATF, ISO, ISMS, and Safety related policies.
- Ensure process achievements and promote customer focus throughout the organization.
