We are seeking an experienced Director of Manufacturing - Sewing to lead and oversee day-to-day sewing operations across two garment manufacturing plants in Mexico. This role is responsible for driving operational excellence, ensuring high-quality production, and optimizing efficiency across all sewing lines. The adecuado candidate will bring deep expertise in garment construction, large-scale sewing operations, and Lean manufacturing practices, with a proven ability to lead high-performing teams in fast-paced environments.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide strategic leadership and operational oversight for sewing operations across two manufacturing plants.
Drive production efficiency, line balancing, throughput improvement, and on-time delivery.
Implement and sustain Lean manufacturing practices, including waste reduction, continuous improvement, and process standardization.
Lead and develop plant leadership teams, supervisors, and sewing operators to achieve KPIs and operational targets.
Oversee capacity planning, workforce optimization, and production scheduling across both facilities.
Ensure consistent product quality by enforcing quality standards, SOPs, and best practices in garment construction.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including supply chain, engineering, and quality,



to support business goals.
Monitor and manage operational costs, budgets, and performance metrics.
Ensure compliance with local labor laws, safety regulations, and company policies.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Textile Engineering, Apparel Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
10 –15 years of experience in garment manufacturing, with a strong focus on sewing operations.
Proven experience managing multi-plant or large-scale sewing operations.
Deep understanding of garment construction, sewing processes, and production flow optimization.
Lean Manufacturing Black Belt certification (or equivalent advanced Lean expertise).
Strong leadership experience managing large, cross-functional teams.
Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and process improvement skills.
Fluency in Spanish preferred; English proficiency is a plus.
Must be based in or willing to relocate to Mexico.
