Ensure compliance to the quality management system and to ensure production and delivery of defect-free
product.
Direct / Oversee day-to-day quality activities for both Block and Shape departments.
- Direct / Supervise Quality personnel.
- Communicate product testing needs with Q.A. and production.
- Ensure that in-process and final quality checks are completed on the product.
- Provide monthly reports to the Corporate Director of Quality and Plant Manager.
- Understand and support the Quality Management System.
- Schedule and conduct monthly internal audits based on the planned audit schedule.
- Maintain procedure books and forms as directed.
- Calibration of monitoring and measuring equipment.
- Understand and support the quality program.
- Perform various testing of products.
- File quality records according to the quality records table.
- Data Entry.




- Communicate any quality concerns with the Plant Manager and Director of Quality as applicable.
- Manages direct reports and oversees training program.
- Conducts corrective action, disciplinary, and performance appraisal meetings.
- Responsible for managing staffing levels such as approving time cards and time off requests.
- Does not have the authority to hire or fire but is expected to make recommendations.
- Perform such other functions and responsibilities as assigned.
- Must be trained and familiar with general safety.
- Must be trained and familiar with ISO 9001 / Quality Management System Basic.
- Must be able to read a tape measure accurately.
- Must be able to operate measuring and testing devices
