The Inventory Associate II is responsible for undertaking inventory clerical duties, including data entries, stock movements, cycle counting and product quarantine controls.
**Responsibilities**:
- **
Inventory Management**
- ** Stock Monitoring**: Ability to track inventory levels, ensuring stock is accurately accounted for and replenished when necessary.
- ** Stock Replenishment**: Ensuring that stock levels are maintained, and products are ordered or restocked in a timely manner.
- ** Attention to Detail**
- Ensuring that inventory is checked and recorded accurately, identifying discrepancies between physical stock and system data.
- ** Data Entry and Documentation**
- Proficiency in entering inventory data into inventory management systems or spreadsheets.
Accuracy and attention to detail are essential for minimizing errors.
- ** Analytical Skills**
- Ability to analyze inventory data and reports to identify trends, stock issues, and areas for improvement.
- ** Organization and Time Management**
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks, such as receiving, stocking, and shipping products. Effective time management is crucial to prioritize duties efficiently.
- ** Problem-Solving Skills**
- Capable of identifying inventory-related issues, such as stock discrepancies, and finding solutions to resolve them in a timely manner.
- ** Forklift and Warehouse Equipment Operation**
- Ability to operate warehouse machinery, including forklifts, pallet jacks, and other tools, to move and organize inventory safely.
- ** Communication Skills**
- Ability to communicate clearly with team members, management, and other departments. This includes discussing inventory needs, sharing updates, and coordinating tasks.
- ** Knowledge of Inventory Software**
- Familiarity with inventory management software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or other ERP systems) is essential to update records and track inventory movements.
- ** Physical Stamina and Strength**
- Since the role often involves lifting and moving products,
physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy items safely are important.
- ** Teamwork and Collaboration**
- Working effectively with other team members, including warehouse staff and logistics teams, to ensure inventory is handled and processed correctly.
- ** Knowledge of Safety Protocols**
- Understanding and adhering to safety protocols when handling inventory, especially when using machinery or dealing with hazardous materials.
- ** Customer Service Skills (if applicable)**
- If the role involves dealing with customer orders, strong customer service skills may be necessary to address concerns or inquiries related to inventory availability.
**Qualifications**: Qualifications**:
- Minimum Education: High School or equivalent
Minimum Work Experience (years): 1-2 years working in a manufacturing environment
**Key Skills and Competencies**:
- Experience in working with MRP. Oracle is an advantage.
- Experience in working with MS Office.
- Ability to lift up to 70 pounds
- Ability to read, understand and follow written work instructions.
- Adequate verbal and written communication skills.
- Licensed to drive on material handling equipment.
**Preferred Qualifications**:
- **
Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM)** or similar certifications from organizations like **APICS** (The Association for Supply Chain Management) can be a strong asset. These certifications demonstrate knowledge in inventory management, production control, and supply chain practices.
- ** Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP)** certification is also beneficial.
