**Responsibilities**:
- The Mexico bureau director is the point of contact for Noticias Telemundo for all coverage in the newscasts and all its platforms including streaming.
- Organize, supervise, and plan coverage that originates in Mexico Bureau and the rest of the country.
- Planning of breaking news in Mexico.
- Oversees the production of news content, including the revision of scripts.
- Supervises/manages/directs Mexico -based editorial staff.




- Follow guidelines by standards and legal departments
- Works collaboratively with NBC News for maximizing and sharing of assets and resources.
- Ability to multitask and work in the fast paced, changing newsroom environment.
- Able to work in a dead-line driven environment
- Other duties as directed by the News Gathering Manager
**Qualifications**
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, or equivalent work experience
- Minimum 5+ years of management and leadership experience
- Solid editorial judgment and decision-making skills
- Able to work under pressure, manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
- Experience with digital news platforms and multimedia storytelling
- Experience in budget management and resource allocation
- Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills for linear and all platforms
Eligibility Requirements:
- Willingness to work versátil hours including mainly weekends, late and/or last-minute scheduling changes in a 24/7 production work environment
- Must be willing to work in the greater Miami, Florida area
- Must be 18 years or older
- Must have a valid driver’s license
- Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States
- Must be covered by Solutions, NBCU’s Alternative Dispute Resolution Program
