This senior-level position entails taking the lead in strategic decision-making and setting best practices in the use of core programming languages. The role demands high autonomy and direct collaboration with Enterprise Architecture, Developer Experience, Infrastructure, and Product Delivery teams to elevate the developer capacity through innovation, research, tool development, standardization, reusability, and automation.
**Responsibilities**
- Lead the assessment and strategic enhancement of Python usage throughout the organization
- Direct collaborations with Enterprise Architecture to define and document an expansive scope for Python
- Design and implement sophisticated strategies for a secure, state-of-the-art Python environment across various platforms, including Kubernetes, servers, and both Windows and Mac workstations
- Take ownership of Python environment safety by orchestrating deployments, configurations, and security measures with the Security team
- Develop, review, and modify standards, documentation, and wikis ensuring they reflect current and effective practices
- Critically evaluate and upgrade existing toolsets, advocating for actionable improvements
- Spearhead the development and maintenance of a comprehensive CI/CD pipeline for Python deployment
- Lead the seamless integration of advanced DevOps tools including Twistlock, Linting, Coverity, SonarQube, and BlackDuck
- Formulate, enforce, and update policies regarding Python Internet access and manage the open-source approval process consistently
- Design an efficient process for developers’ open-source module and library requests, managing and approving these proactively
- Devise and govern a dynamic Python roadmap,



detailing update schedules and version management while ensuring alignment with broader technological and business objectives
- Act as the primary point of contact for coordinating Python upgrade strategies across multiple internal teams, ensuring effective communication and implementation
**Requirements**:
- Minimum of 10 years of hands-on experience in solution architecture
- Advanced proficiency in Python and deep knowledge of secure environment configurations
- Extensive background in designing and managing robust CI/CD pipelines
- Demonstrated expertise in integrating Python with tools such as Twistlock, Linting, Coverity, SonarQube, and BlackDuck
- Broad experience with artifact repositories like Artifactory
- Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with proficiency in managing cross-functional teams and high-stake projects
- Proven ability to develop strategic solutions and make high-level decisions autonomously in complex technical environments
- Expert understanding of permissions, system scanning, and managing secure library configurations in Python
- Capability to adapt to various collaborative environments including Enterprise Architecture, Developer Experience, Infrastructure, and Product Delivery teams
- Evidence of successful sponsorship of significant technological upgrades and implementations
- B2+/C1 level of English
