Job Description Summary:
The CRI Investigator will be responsible for investigating fraud and applying the correct risk treatment in an effort with group account-based review. The Investigator will complete investigations to determine if recent account activity is of a fraudulent or risky nature. Investigator will use a variety of risk tools in order to take appropriate actions. The main objective will be to improve the end-to-end experiences for PayPal consumers, reduce unauthorized losses, stolen financial issues and positively impact our bottom line.

The CRI Investigator will apply analytic techniques to complex information sets in order to make logical and effectively supported recommendations on cases for identifying fraud trend with global lens.
The CRI Investigator is responsible to provide feedbacks and insights for global tracks (KPI, Leads, Tool, WOPR leads, etc…), through case investigation or data analysis to improve KPI performance, leads quality, tool efficiency, fraud trend detection and engaged globally.

Functional Skills:
Expert understanding of BRO fraud M.O.s as well as Spoof and Appeals review processes, policies and SOPs.
Expert skills in core CRI Ops tools & systems including PDA, Cassini, CCI, Compass, Galaxy, Admin & Attack, SCM, Shadow, Mass Action Tool.
Expert abilities in analyzing and summarizing data to support internal/external decision-making.
Expert in Story-Based approach to problem solving and solutioning, with advanced ability to create process/policy requirements.

Business Acumen:
Expert in Industry Fraud Trends and able to action risk mitigation and provide feedback.
Familiarity with PayPal’s risk flows and actions and how they can be deployed to solve business problems.
Expert understanding of Key Performance Indicators applicable to Fraud, Group review investigation and the levers that will impact results.
Advanced familiarity with PayPal’s major products and flows and how their role impacts and influences them.

Minimum Qualifications:
High School diploma or educational equivalent with 5+ years relevant work experience.




2+ years of working experience in CRI Ops with triple-skill owned for Fraud, Appeal and Spoof.
6+ months of working experience in Fraud Queue.
Proven ability to analyze large amounts of data.
